Step-by-step instructions for Level 1 verification
1. Go to the identity verification page
What to do: Locate the KYC verification page in the app.
How to do it:
Open the OKX app and tap the user center icon (circular avatar) in the upper left corner of the home screen.
Tap the nickname / account area at the top.
Select [Identity Verification], then tap [Verify Now] to enter the verification page -3.
When you are done: The page displays a list of verification levels, with "Level 1" or "Basic Verification" marked.
After registration, an identity verification prompt often appears automatically when you log in for the first time. You can tap it directly to save time instead of navigating manually.
2. Select country/region and fill in basic information
What to do: Submit your basic personal information. The system will determine the applicable document type based on your region.
How to do it:
Select your country / region of residence from the drop-down list (Mainland China users select "China").
Fill in your full legal name (exactly as it appears on your document. Mainland China users must enter their name in Chinese characters; pinyin or nicknames are not accepted) -10.

Ensure:

Beauty filters are turned off.

Facial recognition must be completed in the app; it is not supported on the web version. If you fail the first time, check the lighting and make sure your face is unobstructed, then try again.
5. Submit and wait for automatic review
What to do: Confirm that all information is correct, then submit it and wait for the system review.

After checking that all information and photos are correct, tap [Submit Verification].
The system enters the automatic review process, using OCR technology to extract and compare information.
Wait for the page to display the prompt "Under review, please wait."

On the [Identity Verification] page in the app, the status changes from "Under Review" to "Verified."
