Don't immediately think someone stole your ID. In most cases, you registered an OKX account before, later changed your phone number or email, and now the system blocks you when you try to verify with a new account. OKX does not allow one ID to open two accounts, but there is an official process to move your login credentials back to that verified account.

Below are two situations. Choose the one that matches your current state.
Case A: The verified account linked to your ID is yours, but you cannot log in
This is the most common case. The account behind the 'identity already used' message is your own account, but you forgot the account details or cannot access it.
[What to do]: Use the 'View verified account' feature shown in the system message. After completing face verification, move the email or phone number from the new account to that verified account.
[How to do it]:
Open the OKX App and log in to the new account that shows the 'already used' message.
Go to [Profile] → [Account settings] → [Personal information] → [Identity verification] → [Verify now].
Enter your name and ID number and submit. The system will say 'This document has been verified by another account.' Click [View verified account].
Complete face verification. The system will show the account that is using your ID. After confirming it is your own account, click [It belongs to me].
Follow the system instructions to move the email or phone number from the new account to that verified account. Before the transfer, you must move all assets out of the new account, because the new account will be closed after the transfer. Also cancel all open orders.
[Done when]: After the transfer succeeds, you can log in to the verified account with the email or phone number you moved. The new account login credentials are replaced, and the unverified account is automatically closed.
A common detail: If the verified account is frozen, the transfer process will be blocked. You need to contact customer support to unfreeze it before continuing.
Case B: The account linked to your ID is not yours
This situation requires caution — your identity information may have been stolen or misused by someone else.
[What to do]: Do not continue with the transfer. Contact OKX customer support immediately.
[How to do it]: Find online customer support in the App. Explain that 'my ID is being used by another account that is not mine.' Follow the support instructions to submit appeal materials. Do not submit personal information through any unofficial channel.
[Done when]: Customer support accepts the case and starts the review process. Then follow the manual review result.
Common reasons for failure
Assets not moved before the transfer: The unverified account will be closed after the transfer, and assets in it will be lost. You must empty the account before doing this.
The verified account is frozen: You need to unfreeze it before the transfer, otherwise you cannot continue.
Risk reminder
Do not try to bypass system restrictions and register a new account. OKX clearly states that one person can only have one verified account. If you try to open a second account with the same ID, the system will block you during KYC, and the original account may also be flagged for risk control.

How to verify after the operation is complete
After the transfer is complete, log in to the verified account with the transferred email or phone number and make sure you can receive the verification code normally. If you are asked to add security settings after login, such as Google Authenticator, complete the binding as soon as possible.
