If your deposit address won't generate, it is probably not your account. The whole network for that token is likely under maintenance. Do not keep refreshing. First check whether that token is in maintenance.

Normally, the OKX deposit page will show the network status. A grayed-out option or a "Maintenance" label is the clearest signal. If it is under maintenance, do not try to generate an address yet. Wait for it to recover. If the page shows a normal status but you still cannot generate one, that is a different issue.
Step 1: Check the network status first
Do not look at whether the token price is down. Check whether that network can receive deposits.
Confirm whether the network for the token you want to deposit is under maintenance. Open the OKX app or website, and tap "Assets" → "Deposit". Select your token and check whether the "Network" column says "Maintenance" or "Deposits and withdrawals paused". If it does, the platform has paused the service. Just confirm whether the network shows "Maintenance" or "Available".
Step 2: If it shows maintenance, do these three things
Do not keep tapping. It will not work. During maintenance, even if you have an old address, sending funds to it may be lost because the platform is not accepting deposits. Wait until the network is back to normal before generating an address.
On the deposit page, find the "network maintenance" notice. Some tokens show an estimated recovery time.
Close the page and try again later. It usually takes from a few hours to about a day.
After recovery, generate a new address and use that new address to deposit. OKX's user agreement usually clearly bans deposits during maintenance. OKX is not responsible for recovering funds sent anyway. Wait until the page changes from "Maintenance" to "Available" and you can generate an address.

Step 3: If it does not show maintenance, check other things
If the network shows normal but you still cannot generate an address, it is not a maintenance issue. Check your account status or confirm whether that token's chain is supported.
First, check whether this token has a deposit option. Some newly listed tokens may only support withdrawals, and deposits are not open yet.
Then check whether your account has completed KYC. Without identity verification, deposit functions for some tokens may be restricted.
If all the above are normal but address generation still fails, take a screenshot and contact online support. Say "I tap generate address and nothing happens." Ask them to check whether the system is stuck. This will help rule out account and token issues.
If the wallet address itself is no longer usable (for example, OKX tells you to upgrade the address), that is a different situation. It usually appears as a notice in "Deposit history" saying you need to change the address. But if you cannot even generate an address in the first place, it is basically network maintenance or an account verification status issue.
