OKX Wallet Token Not Showing? Check Network and Contract Address

If a transaction appears successful in your OKX wallet but the corresponding token does not show on the asset page, your funds are usually not lost—it just means the wallet isn't displaying that token. OKX Web3 wallet is a multi-chain wallet that by default only shows major coins and a few common tokens. Less popular tokens or newly received assets need to be made visible manually. The solution boils down to two steps: switch to the correct network, then add the correct contract address.

Step 1: Make sure the wallet's current network matches the transfer network

This is the most common reason. You chose TRC-20 (Tron network) for the transfer, but the wallet is currently on Ethereum mainnet, so you won't see it.

  • What to do: Open OKX Wallet. At the top of the asset page, find the current network name (e.g., "Ethereum"). Tap it to open the network list, then find and switch to the chain actually used for the transfer: if you transferred USDT-TRC20, select Tron or TRON; for BSC chain assets, choose BNB Chain; for Ethereum ERC-20, choose Ethereum.

  • Completion check: After switching to the correct network, if the token is in the wallet's default display list, it will appear automatically. If it still does not show, proceed to Step 2 to add it manually.

Step 2: Manually add the token on the correct network

If the token still isn't visible after switching networks, it means the token isn't in the OKX Wallet default token library.

  • What to do:

    1. Make sure you are on the correct network as confirmed in Step 1.

    2. On the asset page, tap the "+" or "Add Token" button in the upper right.

    3. Type the token name (e.g., USDT) in the search box. If it appears, simply check and add it.

    4. If you can't find it, tap "Custom Token" and manually enter the token's Contract Address on that network.

  • Completion check: Once added successfully, the token and its balance will appear in your asset list. If the balance shows zero, go to a block explorer (like Tronscan or Etherscan), enter your wallet address, and verify whether the tokens actually arrived.

High risk: When manually adding a custom token, the contract address must be exact. Even a single wrong character could make you add a fake or worthless token, or even cause direct asset loss. Always get the contract address from official project websites, block explorers, or other trusted sources. Never trust private messages from strangers or links from unknown origins.

Common reason for failure: Many people confuse "wallet address" with "exchange deposit address". Your OKX wallet address is a Web3 address you control, usually starting with "0x" (Ethereum-like) or "T" (Tron). An OKX exchange deposit address is generated on the deposit page and is different. These two do not connect. If you sent coins to the exchange deposit address and then looked in your wallet, you simply won't find them.

How to verify the fix: After adding the token, note its contract address. Go to the corresponding block explorer and search for your wallet address. Confirm that the token balance shown there matches what your wallet displays. If they match, the problem is solved. If the block explorer shows tokens but the wallet still can't display them, it could be a temporary display glitch. In such cases, the official team will fix it, and your assets remain safe.
