The short answer: After you redeem flexible Simple Earn, your principal arrives instantly, while interest is settled and paid at the next full hour. It does not arrive at the same time, and it is not delayed until the next day. It arrives at the next full hour. Below we explain the two parts separately: redemption and interest.

Step 1: Understand How Simple Earn Interest Is Calculated
Flexible Simple Earn works like this: each hour is one settlement period. If you successfully lend funds at a full hour, for example 14:00, the system settles and pays the interest for that 1 hour at the next full hour, 15:00.
Interest is settled hour by hour, not accumulated in real time. Many people think interest starts immediately after subscribing, but that is not true. After you subscribe, your funds must first be matched with borrowers before interest starts. If matching fails, there is no interest. It does not start simply because you deposited the funds.
Step 2: Where Principal and Interest Go After Redemption
Case A: Flexible Simple Earn
Principal: After you submit a redemption request, the asset arrives in real time and goes directly back to your funding account. You can see the money immediately under Assets > Funding Account.
Interest: Any interest that has not yet arrived at the time of redemption will be settled and paid at the next full hour after your redemption.
For example, suppose you submit a redemption request at 14:30. The interest for 14:00-15:00 has not been settled yet. The system will complete the normal process and pay that 1 hour of interest to your account between 15:00 and 16:00. You can check the details under Assets > Earn > Earned Interest.
Case B: Fixed Simple Earn
Fixed products use a different interest settlement method. Interest is paid in one lump sum after maturity. The principal and all interest arrive in your account together after the lock-up period ends. You cannot redeem early during the term, unless the order has not yet started earning interest.
Step 3: The Truth About the Redemption Waiting Period
OKX official documentation says flexible products support redemption anytime with real-time arrival. However, in actual use, you may occasionally need to wait after redeeming.
If the page shows "Redemption restricted" or "All funds in the pool have been lent out" when you try to redeem, it means that coin is temporarily unable to be redeemed. The system reviews this every hour. This situation is very rare, but if it happens, just wait until the review passes and then try again.
A successful redemption is confirmed when the page shows redemption successful and the funds return to your account. If redemption is restricted, wait 1 hour and try again.
How to Verify the Operation Is Complete
After redemption, go to Assets > Funding Account to confirm your principal has arrived. Then go to Assets > Earn > Earned Interest for the corresponding coin to check the interest record paid at the full hour after redemption. Once the interest arrives, that record will show a clear timestamp and amount.

FAQ
Q: Will I still receive interest for the full hour in which I redeem?
A: Yes. For example, if you redeem at 14:30, and you had successfully lent funds during 14:00-15:00, the system will pay you that 1 hour of interest between 15:00 and 16:00. As long as you held a position at the full hour, you are entitled to that hour's interest.
Q: Is interest reinvested or paid directly to my account?
A: Flexible Simple Earn interest is automatically reinvested into your Earn principal and continues to generate interest. After interest arrives, if you do not actively redeem it, it will automatically be added to the next round of interest calculation.
Q: Is the yield fixed?
A: Flexible rates are market-based and affected by borrowing demand on the platform. You can set a minimum lending annualized rate when subscribing, and the system matches lending every hour based on the principle of rate priority first, then time priority. Fixed products use the rate locked in at the time of subscription.
