You click subscribe and see a popup saying "Current quota is full." Most likely, the platform is not blocking you. It means the quota for that batch has already been grabbed by other users.

First, understand why Simple Earn shows "quota is full"

Simple Earn works like this: you deposit your crypto, the platform lends it to margin traders, and the interest earned is shared with you. When the total amount users are willing to lend exceeds the current borrowing demand from margin traders, the matching pool becomes full.

OKX official rules clearly state that personal subscriptions and redemptions usually have no limit, but OKX reserves the right to adjust the total limit based on market conditions and risk. This "total limit" is the root reason you see the quota is full. It is not targeted at you personally. It is a shared pool for all users across the platform.

What actually happens when the quota is full

When the total subscription quota for a certain asset reaches its limit, new subscription orders do not simply disappear. The system matches and sorts orders every hour on the hour based on the principle of "interest rate first, time first."

The matching rule is: the lower the "minimum lending annualized APR" you set when subscribing, the more likely your funds will be matched first. If multiple users set the same rate, the earlier subscription gets matched first.

After a successful match, your funds actually enter the margin lending market and start earning interest. If you see "quota is full" when subscribing, it means the entire fund pool for that asset has already been lent out at that hour, and your order did not get matched. The system will try to match again at the next hour. Orders are re-sorted and reallocated every hour.

What you should do: three steps

Step 1: Check the subscription status of the current asset

On the "Assets → Earn" page, check the order status for the asset you subscribed to. If it shows "Unmatched" or "Pending match," it means your funds have not started earning interest yet.

Step 2: Adjust the "minimum lending annualized APR"

The higher the minimum lending annualized APR you set, the lower your chance of being matched. If it does not hurt your earnings expectation too much, lower this number to improve your matching probability.

Some users report that when stablecoin supply exceeds demand, even if you set a lower rate, the actual annualized return you receive may be slightly lower than the displayed rate. This is consistent with the official rules. If the total eligible lending amount exceeds borrowing demand, earnings are distributed proportionally among all eligible lenders, so an individual's actual annualized return may be lower than the minimum value you set. Therefore, when the quota is full, it is often a signal of oversupply. Rushing in may not guarantee you the full displayed return.

Step 3: Try again at a different time

If the current batch is full, you can try subscribing again at the next hour on the hour. The rule is hourly matching. If you miss that moment, you will need to wait another hour.

In rare cases, when the entire fund pool for an asset has been lent out, redemption for that asset may also be restricted. If you need your money urgently, it is better to first confirm whether normal redemption is available that day.

How to verify after completing the operation: After submitting your subscription, go to the "Assets → Earn" page and check the order status for that asset. If it shows "Lent out" or the status is green or active, it means matching was successful and interest has started accruing. If it shows "Unmatched" or pending, it means you did not get the quota for the current batch. Wait until the next hour and check again.
