What the mistake looks like
Suppose you accidentally choose country A as your residence during registration. Later you find that the Futures trading feature you want is not supported in country A (different national regulations affect available products and services), or you have trouble linking a local bank card. You go to your account center to change it directly, but the option is grayed out.

The easiest place to make a mistake is the first step of KYC (identity verification).
After registering an account, the system guides you to complete identity verification. In this process, the first pop-up asks you to select your "main country/region of residence".

Case A: You have not submitted KYC yet, only filling in information
- If you are still filling in the form and have not clicked "Continue", just go back to the previous step and change "main country/region of residence" to the correct one. Before the system locks it, you can change it freely.
Case B: You have already submitted KYC and it passed review
- At this point it really cannot be changed directly, but Binance officially provides a proper "change residence" channel.
- Specific path: Log in to Binance website → hover over the [Profile] icon in the top right corner → click [Account] → enter the Identity Verification page → scroll down and find [Edit Address] → select the new country/region of residence → upload the corresponding proof of address documents (such as a utility bill, bank statement, etc., within validity period).
