You paid, waited an hour, and the seller still hasn't released the crypto. If this happens, you have likely fallen into a P2P trading trap.

Don't panic. Don't rush to click appeal. Follow the timeline below, and there is a good chance you will get your money back.

Step 1: Immediately click the "I Have Paid" button

This is the most critical step. After paying, you must click "I Have Paid" on the order page as soon as possible, whether the seller releases the crypto or not.

  • [What to do]: Confirm to the system that you have completed the transfer.

  • [How to do it]: Go back to the Binance P2P order page, find the prominent orange button, and click it. This step is like filing a record with the system, proving that you have fulfilled your payment obligation.

  • [Completion standard]: The order status changes from "Pending Payment" to "Waiting for Release", and the countdown begins.

Step 2: Confirm the bank transfer is truly "irreversible"

If more than 15 minutes have passed after clicking "I Have Paid" and the seller still hasn't responded, don't rush to appeal yet. First confirm that the money you transferred has actually been debited from your bank account.

  • [What to do]: Confirm whether the funds have been deducted from your account.

  • [How to do it]: Open your mobile banking app, check whether the balance has decreased, or see if the transfer record shows "Transaction Successful".

  • [Completion standard]: Confirm that the money has left your account.

Step 3: Seize the golden time to appeal

Binance P2P has clear, strict rules about how long a seller has to release crypto. If the seller exceeds the time limit, the system will start deducting their deposit. This is more effective than urging them yourself.

  • [What to do]: Use platform rules to put pressure on the seller.

  • [How to do it]:

    • Case A: More than 15 minutes have passed

      • Remind the seller to release the crypto directly in the order chat window. Most legitimate sellers will handle it immediately after seeing the message.

    • Case B: More than 30 minutes have passed

      • This is the critical point. If the seller still hasn't released the crypto, immediately click the "Appeal" button on the order page.

  • [Completion standard]: The appeal ticket is created successfully and the system intervenes. After the appeal, platform customer service will usually contact the seller. If the seller still does not release the crypto, the system will automatically release the digital assets to you, or freeze the seller's deposit for compensation.

Risk Reminder

  • Sellers have a limited time to release crypto. If they exceed the time limit, their deposit will be deducted. Don't wait any longer once it reaches 30 minutes. Click appeal directly. This is the most effective way to protect your funds.

  • Do not cancel the order easily. If you cancel after clicking "I Have Paid", your funds may not be refunded. This is very dangerous.
