Being a merchant on Binance Lifestyle is not about opening a store and waiting for customers. You first pass a review, pay a security deposit, and then deliver digital goods within an escrow payment system. The buyer's money is held by Binance first and only released to you after the buyer confirms receipt.

Two Types of Merchants: Which One Are You?
There are two types of sellers on Binance Lifestyle.
Lifestyle Merchants are approved through the Binance Merchant Program. You must submit documents during application to prove you have relevant distribution qualifications or brand authorization. After approval, you are assigned a merchant tier (L1 to L3) and must maintain a security deposit. Transactions with this type of merchant are completed entirely within the Binance Lifestyle platform.
Pay Merchants/Partners are existing Binance Pay partners whose popular offers are shown in Lifestyle. Transactions for these products redirect to the merchant's own third-party platform for completion.
If you are starting from zero, you will go through the Lifestyle Merchant route. There are currently 10 supported categories: Gaming, Entertainment, AI Tools, Shopping, Travel, Groceries, Fashion & Beauty, eSIM, Telecom & Utilities, and Payments.
Onboarding: The Entry Point Is Inside P2P
The application entry is in the Binance App: go to [Trade] - [P2P], then tap [Profile], find [Become a Lifestyle Merchant], and tap [Apply Now] to submit your application.
After submission, the Binance team reviews your qualifications and contacts eligible applicants. You need to complete KYC or KYB verification and be able to provide supporting documents for distribution qualifications or brand authorization.
One timing detail is worth noting: Binance launched a merchant recruitment campaign in September 2026 with a total prize pool of 5000 USDT in token vouchers. Merchants who apply directly, successfully onboard, and meet trading requirements can receive a 100 USDT token voucher. For referring a new merchant who successfully joins, both the referrer and the referred person each receive 50 USDT. Rewards are first come, first served based on application submission order, until the pool runs out.
Costs: Security Deposit Depends on Trading Volume
Joining as a Lifestyle Merchant requires a security deposit. The amount depends on your trading volume over the previous 30 days:
| 30-Day Trading Volume (USDT) | Required Deposit (USDT) |
|---|---|
| N < 20,000 | 1,000 |
| 20,000 ≤ N ≤ 200,000 | 2,000 |
| N > 200,000 | 3,000 |
If your trading volume rises and triggers a higher deposit tier, you must top up the difference within 7 days. If you miss the deadline, your merchant status will be removed.
If a dispute is judged to be your responsibility and funds are deducted from your deposit as compensation, you must also replenish the deposit within 7 days. Otherwise, your merchant status will not be kept.
When you voluntarily leave the platform, if there are no active orders or unresolved disputes, the deposit will be fully refunded within 14 to 45 business days.
Delivery: Order Flow Under Escrow Payment
The buyer's money enters a Binance escrow account. When you see the order status change to [Pending Fulfillment], you can deliver.
There are two delivery methods:
Method 1: On the [Confirm Fulfillment] page, fill in delivery information. You can upload up to 6 images as proof, or enter a product code/key (up to 200 characters), then tap confirm.
Method 2: Send the product information directly in the order chat, such as gift card codes or redemption instructions. The order status will automatically update to [Pending Buyer's Confirmation].
After delivery, the buyer receives a notification. If the buyer does not confirm receipt within 48 hours, the escrowed funds are automatically released to your funding account.
After the order is completed, you can view revenue and completed order count under [P2P] - [Profile] - [Lifestyle], or check payment records under [Assets] - [Assets History] - [Pay].
Disputes and Refunds: You Have 24 Hours to Respond
Buyers can submit a refund request when the order status is "Pending Seller Fulfillment" or "Fulfilled (Pending Buyer's Confirmation)". The refund request is first reviewed by you, and you can accept or reject it.
If you do not respond within 24 hours, the system will automatically refund the buyer.
If you reject the refund, the case is automatically escalated to Binance customer support for review. Once an order is marked as "Completed", the buyer can no longer file a refund request directly with Binance. Refunds can only be processed from your merchant wallet.
Important Boundaries to Keep in Mind
Merchant tiers are adjusted dynamically. L1 is the starting tier. To upgrade to L2, you need a positive rating of at least 95%, at least 100 completed orders per month, monthly trading volume of at least 30,000 USDT, and an average of no more than 3 disputed orders per month. L3 has higher requirements. Tiers are re-evaluated in the first week of each month based on the previous month's performance. If your tier is downgraded, all active listings will be automatically closed, and you will need to republish them manually.
Regional restrictions are real. The Binance Pay merchant restricted list includes the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, Singapore, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, the Netherlands, Cyprus, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, North Korea, and other countries and regions. If your company is registered in these places, your application will be stopped directly. Being able to open the Binance website does not mean you are eligible to join.
Product categories are limited. The Lifestyle marketplace does not support physical goods. It only accepts digital products and services. If you sell physical items, this channel is not suitable for you.
