What to Do When Your Binance QR Code Expires?
QR code expiration is a normal security mechanism set byBinanceto protect your account. There's no need to panic.Simply generate a new QR code to resolve the issue. Expired codes cannot be recovered.

The solution depends on which feature you are using—payment QR code, login verification code, or red packet code—each has its own validity period and handling method.
1. Binance Payment QR Code Expired (Most Common)
If you generated a payment QR code or payment link throughBinance Pay, it isvalid for 30 days. After this period, the old code becomes invalid.
How to fix:
Open the Binance App, tap thePayicon, and selectReceive.
Regenerate the QR code or create a new payment link.
Send the new QR code or link to the payer.
If the recipient scans the code but cannot open the link, ask them to copy the link and open it in a browser. Alternatively, you can directly share your Binance account-bound email or phone number for payment.
2. Login or Security Verification QR Code Expired
When logging into Binance, binding a device, or confirming certain security operations, a short-lived QR code is generated. These codes typicallyexpire within 30 seconds to 1 minute, as a security measure to prevent screenshot misuse.
How to fix:Simply clickRefreshorRegenerateon the page. The system will generate a new QR code. Scan it with the Binance App as soon as possible. Do not use screenshots or saved QR code images—such security-related codes are single-use or extremely short-lived.
3. Binance Red Packet QR Code Expired
For QR codes generated via the Red Packet feature,the red packet itself is valid for 24 hours. If no one claims it within 24 hours, the red packet expires, and the unclaimed funds are returned to the sender.
How to fix:Expired red packets cannot be recovered. If you are trying to claim a red packet, ask the sender to create a new one and share it with you. If you sent a red packet that expired, the funds will be automatically returned, and you can generate a new red packet to send again.
4. Other Cases
If you encounter QR code expiration in other scenarios, such as Binance Mini Programs or Web3 Wallet usage, the solution is the same:Go back to the page where the QR code was generated and regenerate a new one. After app updates, some Web3 Wallet QR codes may also require re-scanning; simply repeat the process.

Security Reminders
Do not scan QR codes from unofficial sources: Binance official QR codes have dynamic encryption and time limits, but scammers may fake QR codes to gain authorization. Only generate and scan QR codes through the official Binance App. Never scan QR codes sent by strangers.
Do not save screenshots of sensitive QR codes: QR codes for login, transfers, and other sensitive operations are temporary. Screenshots are useless and may increase the risk of leakage.
