How to Create an OKX Sub-Account? Multi-Account Management Guide
Creating anOKXsub-account is currentlyonly fully supported on the web platform. The mobile app allows you to create a sub-account, but subsequent operations such as sub-account mode settings and API management must be done on the web. Before You Start: Understand the Two Types of Sub-Accounts
Before proceeding, you need to determine which type of sub-account you need—different types have completely different permissions.

Web Platform Steps
Sub-account creation, deletion, and advanced settings can only be done on the web platform.
Go to the Sub-Account Page: Log in to the OKX official website, click on the top right [Personal Center] → [Sub-Account].
Click Create: Click the [+ Create Sub-Account] button.
Fill in Information:
Login Name: Use only English letters and numbers,no Chinese characters, punctuation, or spaces allowed.
Account Type: Select "Standard Sub-Account."
Deposit Settings: If you want this sub-account to independently receive deposits, enable the [Deposit] toggle.
Complete Verification: After confirming the information, enter the SMS verification code and Google Authenticator code, then click Confirm.
Key Operations After Creating a Sub-Account
Fund Transfer: After creation, you need to transfer assets from the main account to the sub-account to start trading. Click the [Fund Transfer] button in the sub-account list, select the currency and amount to complete the transfer.
Switch Login: After enabling the [Switchable] option for the sub-account on the web, click the avatar in the top right to quickly switch between multiple accounts.
Thesub-account login nameis different from the main account, and the password is set independently.
Sub-accountsdo not support withdrawals; to withdraw, you must first transfer assets back to the main account.
Mobile App Operations
The app supports creating sub-accounts, but cannot perform advanced settings or deletion.
Go to the top-left [Full Features] on the homepage → click the avatar to enter the [Switch Account] page → tap [+ Add Sub-Account] at the bottom.
Enter the sub-account name and verify to create it.
Common Failure Reasons
Exceeded Limit: Regular users can create up to5 sub-accounts; no more can be created beyond this limit.
Login Name Taken: If you see "Login name unavailable," it means another user has already registered it; simply choose a different name.
KYC Not Completed: The main account must have completed identity verification before creating a sub-account.
