BETH and OKSOL are liquid staking vouchers launched by OKX Europe on July 16, 2026. They represent ETH and SOL staked through OKX, and are issued automatically at a 1:1 ratio to users who already have staking positions. They let your staked assets keep earning rewards while gaining extra uses within the platform.

Keep Earning Rewards Just by Holding, but the Reward Form Changes

Staking rewards keep building up without interruption. What changes is how they are paid out: ETH rewards are paid daily in BETH, and SOL rewards are paid every two days in OKSOL, instead of in ETH/SOL themselves. Each unit of BETH/OKSOL can always be redeemed 1:1 for ETH/SOL.

OKSOL has a reference annual yield of about 5.25%, and BETH about 2.4%. Both are floating rates that adjust with network conditions, so there is no guaranteed fixed return.

Can Be Used as Collateral Within the Platform

Both BETH and OKSOL can be used as collateral on the OKX platform for margin or lending products, without needing to redeem your staking position first. When used as collateral, there is a discount rate compared to the underlying asset. Check OKX's discount rate table for details.

This means you don't have to choose between "keep staking to earn rewards" and "use your assets for other things." Staking rewards keep building as usual, while the buying power from the collateral can be used for trading or other purposes.

Redemption: Available Anytime, but Split into Fast and Standard Options

You can redeem BETH or OKSOL for ETH or SOL at a 1:1 ratio at any time. There are two redemption paths:

Fast redemption: Available within a daily limit and is faster. The daily limit depends on your account tier. Once the limit is exceeded, requests automatically switch to standard redemption.Standard on-chain redemption: The portion above the fast limit must follow the unbonding period and on-chain conditions of the corresponding network. Once a redemption request is submitted, the BETH/OKSOL involved is locked and no longer earns rewards.

Key Restrictions in the European Economic Area

BETH and OKSOL are not tradable tokens in the EEA. They are not listed for spot trading, cannot be transferred to other users, and cannot be withdrawn outside the OKX platform. This is different from OKX Global, where BETH supports BETH/USDT and BETH/ETH spot trading, and OKSOL supports OKSOL/SOL and OKSOL/USDT trading.

This restriction comes directly from the EU regulatory framework. The OKX Europe entity must comply with rules such as MiCA, which limit secondary market trading and off-platform transfers of liquid staking tokens. As a result, your BETH/OKSOL can only be used within the OKX account system — holding, earning rewards, using as collateral, and redeeming 1:1. That's it.

If you need to trade these vouchers themselves, or withdraw them to an on-chain wallet to interact with other DeFi protocols, the European version cannot do that.
