Step 1: You are filling in the "Level 3 verification" of KYC

How to do it: Binance KYC has three levels. Level 1 is phone number + email. Level 2 is ID photo + face recognition. Level 3 is occupational information + residential address. Only after completing all three steps can you unlock fiat deposits and withdrawals and higher withdrawal limits.
Completion standard: You can find the [Identity Verification] page in the App and see your current KYC level. If it shows "Verified" or "Already verified", then you do not need to do anything else.

Step 2: What exactly should you fill in for the occupational information field

- Business owner/Self-employed

How to do it: Open the dropdown menu and choose the option that best matches your actual situation. If you do freelance work, such as taking orders for coding, design, or content creation, choose Freelancer. Do not choose "Unemployed" or "Other". If you are an employee of a company, choose the general industry category that applies to you.
Completion standard: After selecting an option from the dropdown menu, the page shows it as selected with no error message.
Risk warning:
Do not choose "Finance practitioner" just to look wealthy. Finance practitioners belong to a specific occupational category. If additional risk control is triggered later, you may need to provide more supporting documents. Choosing your real situation is more important than you think.
Common reason for failure: Some people casually choose "Other" and submit it, which triggers manual review, and they wait three days without approval. The "Other" option is not for being lazy. Reviewers will be suspicious about what you actually do when they see that label. It is better to honestly choose the closest option.
Step 3: What to prepare if Enhanced Due Diligence is triggered
If the system thinks your account is risky or you need a higher limit, it may require you to go through the EDD process, which means submitting additional documents related to your occupation.
How to do it: Prepare the corresponding materials according to your occupation type:

Completion standard: Every submitted document meets the requirements: file name includes your full name, date within the last 3 months, PDF/JPG/PNG format, all four corners visible. Electronic PDF is preferred. Screenshots are often rejected because they are blurry.
Step 4: Fill in residential address
Next to the occupational information page, there is also a "Residential address" item. Binance will require you to fill it in level by level down to the house number, including province, city, district, detailed street, and house number. The postal code is 6 digits.
How to do it: Pay attention to two points when filling in this address:
- It must match the address on your ID. If your ID address is different from your actual residence, Binance requires you to fill in the address exactly as shown on your ID. Later, if you need to provide proof of address, such as a utility bill from the last 3 months, then fill in the actual residential address shown on the proof document.
- Do not only write the name of the residential compound or area. You must clearly write "No. XX, XX Road, Building XX, Room XX".
Completion standard: After the address is fully filled in, click submit for review. The page status changes to "Under review".
How to verify after completing the operation
After submitting, go back to the [Identity Verification] page. The status changes from "Pending verification" to "Under review". Results usually come out within 1-3 working days. After approval, the page shows "Verified", and withdrawal and fiat trading limits are increased accordingly.

Question: I selected "Freelancer". Will my limits be restricted?
Answer: No. Occupation type itself does not affect the limit cap. Limits depend on KYC level and EDD review results. As long as freelancers fill in their actual situation, if additional materials are needed later, they can submit bank statements from the last 3 months or order records.
Question: Can I change my occupational information after submitting?
Answer: Submitted verification information usually cannot be modified online. If you really filled it in wrong, contact customer service and explain the situation. You may need to submit supplementary materials and go through the verification process again, which is much more troublesome than filling it in correctly the first time. So check carefully before submitting.
Question: I am neither employed nor self-employed. What should I choose?
Answer: If you currently do not have a fixed job but have savings to support daily expenses, choose "Unemployed" and prepare bank statements from the last 3 months. Explain the source of your savings during review. If you live on investment and wealth management income, choose "Investor". You may need to submit screenshots of your investment portfolio later.
