Bank Card Unsupported When Buying USDT on Binance? Alternative Deposit Methods

Not being able to buy USDT with a bank card is a bit annoying, but it's not a big problem. Binance itself does not support directly depositing fiat currency into your account using a bank card.

However, it has two mature alternative paths: one is Quick Buy (Binance Convert), and the other is C2C (peer-to-peer) trading. Both are currently the most commonly used deposit methods among Chinese-speaking users, and the processes are already running very smoothly.

Path 1: Use Quick Buy (Simplest, Best for Beginners)

If the bank card channel doesn't work, Quick Buy is the most hassle-free alternative. You don't need to pick a merchant, manually transfer funds, or upload proof — the system automatically matches the best quote. Just enter the amount and buy USDT with one click.

How to do it:

  1. Open the Binance app and tap [Trade] at the bottom of the home page.
  2. Switch to the [Quick Buy] or [Buy Crypto] entry at the top.
  3. Select the coin you want to buy (beginners are advised to start with USDT) and enter the amount you want to spend.
  4. Choose a payment method (use a bank card if available; if not, the system will suggest other available channels).
  5. Complete the payment according to the on-screen instructions, and USDT will automatically arrive in your spot account.

Completion standard: You can see the newly purchased USDT balance in your spot account.

Path 2: Use C2C Trading (More Flexible, Stable Channels)

If the Quick Buy entry is restricted in your region, then C2C (peer-to-peer) trading is the most reliable option. In the C2C market, you trade directly with platform-certified merchants. You pay the merchant via Alipay, WeChat, or bank transfer, and the merchant releases the coins to you after receiving the money. Binance acts as the intermediary platform and locks the merchant's USDT as collateral, so you don't have to worry about the merchant running away.

How to do it:

  1. Open the Binance app and tap [Trade] → [C2C].
  2. The default page is [Buy]. Select USDT as the coin.
  3. In the merchant list, manually filter the payment method to "Alipay" or "WeChat".
  4. Choose a merchant with high trading volume and a positive rating above 98%, then enter the amount you want to buy (beginners are advised to start with a small amount).
  5. After confirming the order, complete the transfer within 15 minutes according to the payment details shown on the page. Follow the instructions strictly when making the payment, and do not write sensitive words such as "coin", "U", "USDT", or "Binance" in the transfer note.
  6. After the transfer is successful, be sure to return to the order page and click [I have paid, notify the seller].
  7. Wait for the merchant to verify and release the coins. USDT will arrive automatically.

Completion standard: You receive the corresponding USDT in your funding account or spot account.

Common reasons for failure: The most common reason you can't buy USDT with a bank card is regional restrictions — Binance does not connect to fiat channels for mainland Chinese banks, so there is indeed no "CNY online banking deposit" entry. C2C is an official alternative solution, not a temporary workaround. If the C2C entry also shows as unavailable, first confirm whether your account has completed KYC identity verification — unverified users cannot access the C2C trading page.

How to verify completion: The purchased USDT appears in Binance [Wallet] → [Spot Account] or [Funding Account], and the balance number has been updated.

Next step: After USDT arrives, it is placed in the "Funding Account" by default. If you plan to buy other coins in the spot market next, remember to go to [Wallet] → [Transfer] and move the USDT from the Funding Account to the Spot Account before using it.
