Binance Balance Below Withdrawal Fee: 3 Workable Solutions
When your Binance account balance is lower than the withdrawal fee, the transaction will fail. You can use internal transfer, buy gas tokens, or sell via P2P/C2C and withdraw fiat—the third method even bypasses blockchain withdrawal fees.

1. Confirm the problem: What happens when balance is insufficient
When you initiate an on-chain withdrawal, Binance deducts two amounts from your account:
Withdrawal amount: The quantity of the asset you want to transfer.
Network fee (Gas fee): The processing fee paid to the blockchain network, settled in the gas token of the corresponding chain (e.g., ETH for Ethereum, BNB for BSC, TRX for TRON).
If your total account balance is insufficient to cover "withdrawal amount + network fee," the system will error and reject the transaction.
Prerequisite: You are logged into your Binance account and can normally initiate a withdrawal.
2. Three workable solutions
Option 1: Internal transfer (zero fee)
Step 1: Confirm if the recipient is a Binance user
What to do: If the recipient has also registered on Binance, use the internal transfer feature directly.
How to do it: On the withdrawal page, select "Internal Transfer," enter the recipient's UID, phone number, or email—no need to fill in a blockchain address or network.
What counts as completed: Internal transfers arrive in real time with zero fees.
Note: Internal transfer does not go through the blockchain, so no network fee is charged.
Option 2: Buy gas tokens
Step 2: Purchase gas tokens on Binance using your balance
What to do: Use the remaining assets in your account (e.g., USDT) to buy enough gas tokens to cover the withdrawal fee.
How to do it:
Identify the gas token for the network you're withdrawing to (ETH for Ethereum, BNB for BSC, TRX for TRON, SOL for Solana).
Go to the Binance trading area and buy that gas token with USDT or other assets, in an amount greater than the estimated network fee.
Return to the withdrawal page; the gas fee will be deducted automatically from your balance.
What counts as completed: Your gas token balance is sufficient to cover the withdrawal fee, and the system no longer shows an error.
Option 3: Sell via P2P/C2C and withdraw fiat
Step 3: Avoid on-chain fees via P2P trading
What to do: Instead of withdrawing crypto, sell the asset to other users for fiat and then withdraw the fiat to your bank account.
How to do it:
Go to the "P2P" or "C2C" trading section, select "Sell."
Choose a suitable buyer and payment method, complete the trade; funds will go to your fiat wallet.
Withdraw the fiat to your linked bank account.
What counts as completed: You have successfully sold the asset and withdrawn fiat without paying any blockchain gas fees.
P2P withdrawal fee: 0%
Common reasons for failure
"Bought too little gas tokens": Withdrawal fees are dynamic and can spike during network congestion. If you bought just enough gas tokens, it might become insufficient moments later. Leave a 10-20% buffer.
"Wrong network selected": Fees vary greatly between networks. Withdrawing USDT via TRC20 is much cheaper than via ERC20, but the recipient address must support the corresponding network.
Risk warning: Buying gas tokens also ties up your account balance. If you can't even afford to buy gas tokens, only Option 1 or 3 can help. Also, if assets are lost due to using the wrong network, Binance cannot retrieve them.

How to confirm you've resolved the issue?
After completing any of the above, go back to the withdrawal page and enter the withdrawal amount—if the system no longer shows an "insufficient balance" prompt and lets you proceed to security verification, the problem is solved. If you chose P2P selling, check your bank account once the funds arrive.
