Binance Shows Withdrawal Completed but Block Explorer Can't Find It: What to Check First?

Check the TxID status in your withdrawal record first; don't just search the block explorer. Binance displaying "Completed" only means the platform has broadcast the transaction. The TxID may not have been confirmed by the network yet, or it might have been replaced by a transaction with a higher gas fee. Follow these steps to quickly pinpoint where the issue lies.

Step 1: Check Your Withdrawal Record to Get the TxID

"Completed withdrawal" does not equal "confirmed on-chain" — this is the easiest point to confuse. Moving funds from Binance to an external wallet involves three separate stages: Binance initiates → blockchain confirms → deposit credited. If the withdrawal shows completed, it only means the first step has been carried out.

Step 1: Find the TxID for this Withdrawal

  • What to do: Log into your Binance account and go to the withdrawal history page.

  • How to do it:

    • Web: Hover over [Wallet] → [Orders] → [Wallet History].

    • App: [Assets] → [Transaction History] → locate this withdrawal.

    • If the [Status] column shows "Completed", there will be a clickable TxID link next to it.

  • When you are done: You have copied the TxID string for this withdrawal.

Step 2: Check the TxID Status on a Block Explorer

After getting the TxID, search for it on the relevant blockchain explorer — what it shows is "whether the network recognizes this transaction", which is different from what Binance shows.

Step 2: Open the Block Explorer for the Corresponding Network and Paste the TxID

  • What to do: Open the appropriate explorer based on the network you selected when withdrawing.

  • How to do it:

    • ETH / BSC / Polygon → Etherscan / BscScan

    • BTC → Blockchain.com

    • TRX → Tronscan

  • When you are done: You are now on the transaction detail page.

Step 3: Check the Status Displayed by the Explorer

  • Case A (status shows "Failed"): The transaction failed to execute on-chain. Contact Binance support, provide the TxID, and confirm the reason for failure.

  • Case B (status shows "Dropped & Replaced"): This transaction was replaced by another with a higher gas fee, and the original TxID is no longer valid. You need to check your Binance withdrawal history to see if a new TxID was generated, or contact Binance support to obtain the new TxID.

  • Case C (status shows "Pending / Unconfirmed / 待确认"): The transaction has been broadcast but not yet packed into a block by the network. Continue waiting; the confirmation time depends on network congestion. Different coins require different numbers of confirmations, and the receiving platform may require more confirmations than the network's base confirmation count.

  • Case D (status shows "Success" but the destination address hasn't received the funds): This is the most common scenario. The transaction is confirmed on-chain, but the receiving platform has not yet credited you. Proceed to Step 3.

Step 3: If the Transaction Is Confirmed On-Chain but Not Credited

Step 4: Confirm Whether the Receiving Platform Supports That Coin and Network

  • What to do: Check whether the target platform or wallet you withdrew to supports the coin and network you selected.

  • How to do it: Go to the "Deposit" page of the receiving platform and see if it lists the coin and network. If it is not in the list, the platform does not support this incoming deposit. The assets have already left Binance, and you need to contact the receiving platform's support. Binance has clearly stated that it cannot provide further assistance in this situation.

Step 5: Confirm Whether the Receiving Platform's Deposit Confirmation Threshold Has Been Met

  • What to do: Different platforms may require different "deposit confirmation counts" for the same coin.

  • How to do it: A block explorer typically shows "Success" once there is 1 confirmation, but the receiving platform may require more before crediting your account (for example, Binance itself requires 2 confirmations for BTC and 910 for FIL). Log into the receiving platform and check the deposit history; if it shows "Processing", it will automatically be credited once the required number of confirmations is reached.

Common Reasons for Failure

"Thinking 'withdrawal completed' means 'the other party has received it'": This is the biggest misconception. Binance showing "Completed" only means Binance has sent the funds, not that the recipient has received them. In between are the two stages of blockchain confirmation and the receiving platform crediting the deposit. A problem at any of these stages can lead to "can't find it".

Risk warning: If the block explorer shows "Success" and the required number of confirmations has been met, but the recipient still insists they haven't received the funds, and the recipient does not support that coin or network — the funds may be permanently lost because on-chain transactions are irreversible. It is advisable to confirm that the receiving platform supports the coin and network you plan to withdraw before initiating the withdrawal.

After performing the above checks, how do you confirm which stage the problem is in?

  • If the TxID cannot be found on a block explorer → the transaction hasn't been submitted to the chain yet; contact Binance support.

  • If the block explorer shows "Pending" → wait for network confirmation; the time required varies by coin.

  • If the block explorer shows "Success" but the recipient hasn't received the funds → the issue is on the receiving end; contact the receiving platform's support and provide the TxID.

If you can successfully search for the TxID and its status is "Success", it means Binance has completed its part; the rest can only be handled by the recipient. Send the TxID to the receiving platform's support — it is the most critical piece of evidence for them to track the funds.
