You transferred some crypto to your OKX Web3 wallet. The block explorer says the transaction was successful, but when you open the wallet, the balance is still the same. That can feel worrying.

Don't panic. A successful transaction does not mean the wallet will display it automatically. The on-chain record is correct, but the wallet cannot see the token for two common reasons: you have not manually added the token to the display list, or the wallet is on the wrong network. This guide will help you find it in about two minutes.

Step 1: Check the transaction status first to confirm your funds are safe

Make sure the on-chain transaction really succeeded.

Copy the TxID (transaction hash) from your transfer record, paste it into a block explorer such as OKLink, and check whether the status is "Success" or "Completed" and whether the number of confirmations is enough.

If the block explorer shows "Success", that confirms the funds actually reached your address. The wallet just is not displaying them.

Step 2: Switch to the correct network and check again

Put the wallet into the environment of the chain you used for the transfer.

  • Mobile app: Open the OKX Web3 wallet home page. Look at the network name shown at the top, such as "Ethereum" or "BSC". Tap it, find the chain you used for the transfer, and select it.

  • Browser extension: Click the extension icon. The network dropdown at the top works the same way. Switch to the correct chain.

Done when: the network name at the top of the wallet home page exactly matches the chain name in your transfer record.

Step 3: Manually add the token to the display list

After switching to the correct network, the token still does not appear? That is normal. Most non-mainstream tokens require you to manually tell the wallet: "I want to see the assets at this address."

Add the token's contract address to the wallet's asset list by following these steps:

  1. On the OKX Web3 wallet home page, scroll down to the asset list area and tap "Manage assets".

  2. In the search box, enter the token name or contract address. If it appears, tap "+ Add".

  3. If it cannot be found, tap "Custom token". Key step: the selected network must match the chain you used for the transfer. Then paste the contract address and confirm adding it.

  4. Note: BRC20 tokens do not have a contract address. For those, just search by token name.

Done when: the page says it was added successfully, or you can see the token name and balance in the token list.

Common reasons for failure

Failure 1: Wrong network selected This is the most common issue. The chain you used to transfer funds must match the chain you choose when adding the token. For example, if you transferred USDT on ERC20 (Ethereum mainnet), but then switch to BSC and add the BSC USDT address, you will never see the balance.

Failure 2: Copied the contract address incorrectly Do not type the address from memory. Search for the token in a block explorer and use the contract address shown on the official page. An extra space or a missing letter can make it unrecognizable.

Failure 3: The wallet does not support that network or token OKX Web3 wallet currently supports 75+ public chains, but some less common chains or new tokens are still not in the support list. If searching or adding does not work, the wallet may not support that chain yet. The only option is to import your seed phrase into another wallet that supports the network.

Risk reminder: Contract addresses found through random web searches may be fake. Always get the address from trusted sources such as the project's official website, official Twitter, or CoinMarketCap. Importing a fake contract will not directly steal your assets, but you will see fake token data and may be misled into wrong trades. Also, for networks like TRON and NEAR, an address may need to receive native assets first, such as TRX, to be activated. Otherwise, the transfer may succeed but the balance may still not show.

How to verify the fix

After completing the steps above, return to the wallet home page and pull down to refresh. Your balance should appear. If it still does not, repeat steps 2 and 3 and carefully check the network and contract address. If the wallet clearly does not support that network, you will need to view it in another wallet.
