OKX Card subscription rebates are not a one-size-fits-all product. The "50% rebate" or "20 USDG per month" you may have seen only applies to specific card versions in specific regions. Switch to another region or use a different payment method, and the rebate may not trigger at all. Before you subscribe, confirm two things: which regional version your card belongs to, and whether the payment method you plan to use is accepted by that version.

Subscription Rebates Vary by Card Version
At least two card versions currently have official subscription rebate rules, with different thresholds and coverage.
The US version of OKX Card covers ChatGPT, Claude, and Netflix subscriptions. The rebate rate is 50% of eligible subscription payments, with a combined cap of 20 USD per user per calendar month, paid out in USDG to your OKX Pay account. This rebate is an extra benefit and does not count against your core spending rebate limit.
The Singapore version of OKX Card ties subscription rebates to Accredited Investor status and covers a wider range: TradingView, Nansen, ChatGPT, Spotify, Apple Music, Netflix, YouTube Premium, and Claude. The monthly cap is 20 USDG, and it only applies for the first 12 months. Non-accredited investors do not qualify for this subscription rebate even if they hold a Singapore-issued card.
For other regional versions (such as EEA, Argentina, UAE, etc.), subscription rebates either do not appear in current public rules or are subject to "selective users" or what is shown on the card rewards page. If you do not hold the US or Singapore version, check the Card rewards page in the OKX App to see if a subscription rebate entry exists for your card. Do not assume the rules above apply to your card.
Payment Method Determines Whether the Rebate Triggers
Even if your card version supports subscription rebates, choosing the wrong payment method will reduce your rebate to zero. Both versions have the same requirements on this point, but the reasons are worth explaining clearly.
You must subscribe directly through the service provider's official website and manually enter your card number. In-app purchases (for example, subscribing on an iPhone through Apple Pay) will record the transaction under the app store's merchant name (such as "Apple Bill") instead of the actual service provider name like ChatGPT or Netflix. The rebate system identifies eligibility by merchant name. If the merchant name does not match, the rebate will not be issued.
You must use USDG as the settlement asset. The US version explicitly requires "selecting Autopay and using USDG as the transaction collateral." The Singapore version similarly requires that "card transactions be settled in USDG; settlements in other currencies are not eligible." If your OKX Pay account holds USDT or USDC, swiping your card directly will not trigger the subscription rebate. You need to convert to USDG in the app first and make sure your card is funded by USDG.
Another easily overlooked detail: Autopay is an explicit requirement for the US version. Subscription payments made with manual repayment are not eligible. The Singapore version does not separately emphasize Autopay in its rebate rules, but "subscribing through the official website" and "USDG settlement" are common baseline requirements.
Rebate Crediting and Clawbacks
Both versions state that rebates are issued in USDG to your OKX Pay account and do not require manual claiming. The crediting time is based on the subscription payment settlement date, not the transaction authorization date. The Singapore version notes that card transactions typically take 1–5 days to settle, and the rebate is credited only after settlement.
If a subscription is later refunded or a chargeback occurs, the corresponding rebate will be clawed back. The US version explicitly states that "the clawback amount will not exceed the original rebate," and disputes that are only in pending status will not trigger a clawback.
Monthly caps reset by calendar month. The US version uses Eastern Time (ET) as the boundary. The Singapore version does not separately specify a time zone on its rebate page, so follow what is shown in the App.
What You Should Check Now
Open the OKX App and go to the Card section under OKX Pay. First confirm which regional version your card belongs to (US, Singapore, or other). Then check the current rules on the card rewards or subscription rebate page. If there is no subscription rebate entry on the page, your card version currently does not qualify for this benefit, and you should just use the core spending rebate rules.
If the page shows a subscription rebate, check two things: whether your OKX Pay balance is denominated in USDG and sufficient to cover the subscription amount; and whether the service you plan to subscribe to is on your card version's coverage list (the US version has only three services; the Singapore version has eight and is limited to accredited investors). When subscribing, go through the service provider's official website, manually enter your card number, and do not use the in-app purchase channel.
