How to Connect OKX to Altrady? Multi-Account Trading and Order Verification

Connecting OKX to Altrady is not about "one-click binding" but rather a precise configuration of API permissions. You need to create a read-only and trading key set on OKX, add Altrady's 20 IP addresses to the whitelist, and then select the correct API version on the Altrady side (www.okx.com or my.okx.com). Multi-account management is natively supported in Altrady—each OKX account or sub-account corresponds to an independent Trading Account, distinguished by labels.

Creating OKX API Keys: Permissions and Whitelist Are Key

You need to complete this step on the OKX web platform. The app can also create keys, but manually entering the IP whitelist is more convenient on a computer.

After logging into OKX, go to Profile > API and click "Create API". After entering a name, choose whether to connect the main account or a sub-account. For permissions, only check "Trade" and do not check "Withdraw". Altrady's official documentation clearly states that it only requests read-only and trading permissions, never withdrawal permissions. If you check Withdraw, you expand the risk if the key is exposed.

The IP whitelist is the most important part of this step. Altrady provides 20 IP addresses that you need to paste into OKX after enabling "Trusted IP Access". If you skip the whitelist and create the key directly, Altrady may fail to connect later, and OKX may also report error 50110 because the key is incompatible with third-party software binding. With the whitelist added, even if the key is leaked, attackers cannot use it without Altrady's IPs.

You also need to create a Passphrase, which is a third credential unique to the OKX API, used together with the API Key and Secret Key. Keep all three safe. If you lose the Passphrase, it cannot be recovered—you can only delete the key and create a new one.

There is an easily overlooked detail: when creating the key on OKX, in the Markets section, check "Spot and Margin", and also check futures if you plan to trade them in the future. The official guide specifically points out that if you skip this step, OKX will reject every order later with error 50123.

Connecting on the Altrady Side

After creating the key, go to Settings > Exchange Account API Keys in Altrady and click "+ Connect Account", then select OKX.

Choose Manual Connect instead of Fast Connect. Fast Connect is more automated, but it does not support OKX accounts in the EEA region (because EEA accounts run on my.okx.com rather than www.okx.com), and one OKX account can only create one Fast Connect key. If you have already connected before, it will simply report an error.

In the Altrady connection form, the API version should match the OKX site you actually use. OKX has three domains: global users use www.okx.com, EEA users use my.okx.com, and US users use us.okx.com. Choosing the wrong version will trigger error 50119 (API key does not exist) because the key and domain region do not match. If unsure, you can select "Auto detect", but manual selection is more reliable.

Paste the API Key, Secret Key, and Passphrase into the respective fields and click Connect. Altrady will begin syncing balances and account data.

Multi-Account Management: Each Connection Is a Trading Account

Altrady calls each connected exchange account a Trading Account. If you have a main account and multiple sub-accounts on OKX, each requires a separate API key and a separate connection in Altrady.

When connecting, give each account a clear label, such as "OKX Main Account" or "OKX Sub-account A". Altrady uses this label to distinguish accounts in all interfaces. To switch between accounts, use the dropdown menu in the Trading Account field. Once selected, the Trading component shows that account's balance and wallet, the chart displays that account's pending orders and completed trades, and My Orders only shows orders from that account.

If your funds are in OKX's Funding account instead of the Trading account, Altrady will not recognize them. Before connecting, make sure funds have been transferred to the trading account.

Order Verification: Check Status in Altrady's My Orders

After an order is executed, check the My Orders component. This component shows the date and time, market, type (market/limit), direction, price, quantity, filled quantity, total, and status for each order.

Order status has several stages: Pending means Altrady has held the order waiting for conditions to trigger (for example, a take-profit stays pending until the entry is filled); Open means the order has reached the exchange order book and is waiting to be filled; Closed means fully filled; Canceled means it was canceled. If you opened a position directly on OKX, Altrady will show it as a manual position after syncing, without Altrady's automated take-profit and stop-loss management.

Pay attention to sync delays when verifying. Altrady pulls data from the exchange, and the delay depends on the exchange itself. If you just placed an order on OKX, Altrady may take a few seconds to a few dozen seconds to display it. If notifications feel delayed, you can click the Resync arrow to refresh manually, but do not click too frequently to avoid triggering rate limits.

Common Reasons for Connection Failures

If Altrady reports an error when connecting to OKX, first check these items: whether the API key permissions are only "Read" and "Trade" (no Withdraw); whether the IP whitelist fully includes all 20 Altrady addresses; whether the API version matches the OKX domain you use; and whether funds are in the trading account rather than the funding account.

OKX also has an AUM threshold for API keys: accounts in certain regions need AUM > 100 USD to create API keys. If your funds are below this amount, the key creation entry may be unavailable.
