The short answer: OKB must be in your Funding Account for Jumpstart to count your staking amount. If it is in your Trading Account or Grow Account, you will not earn anything.

This is similar to Binance Launchpool: token sale positions are only counted in a specific account type, not your total balance.
Step 1: Check Where Your OKB Is
Open the OKX app, go to the bottom Assets tab. You will see sections such as Trading Account, Funding Account, and Grow Account. Tap Funding Account and check if your OKB is there.
Common situation: If you just bought OKB, it is usually in your Trading Account by default. The system snapshot only counts OKB in your Funding Account. OKB in your Trading Account does not count.
What success looks like: You can see your OKB balance in the Funding Account, and the amount meets the activity requirement. Different projects may have different minimums, so check the Jumpstart event page for details.
Step 2: Transfer OKB to Your Funding Account
If your OKB is in the Trading Account, you need to transfer it manually.
How to do it on the app: Go to Assets → Transfer. Select from Trading Account to Funding Account. Choose OKB as the asset, enter the amount, and confirm.
How to do it on the website: Log in to OKX → Asset Management → My Assets → Transfer. Then transfer from Trading Account to Funding Account.
What success looks like: After the transfer, your OKB balance in Assets → Funding Account increases and matches your total holdings.
Step 3: Check Your Eligibility on the Jumpstart Page
OKX official documentation clearly states: Only OKB in your Funding Account can be staked. Please transfer OKB to your Funding Account in advance. Once staked, your OKB will be frozen, and you can unstake at any time.
How to do it on the app: Go to the bottom Grow (Finance) tab → Jumpstart. Open the current project and check the staking amount or eligibility status. If the available OKB amount shows 0 or is too low, your transfer has not reached the right place yet.
What success looks like: The Jumpstart page shows an amount you can stake that matches your OKB balance in the Funding Account.
Common Failure Reason: The Snapshot Window Has Passed
Jumpstart eligibility is usually based on your holdings at the snapshot time. Moving OKB in now may not let you join immediately if the snapshot has already passed. If the snapshot window is over, it is too late for that round—wait for the next one.
Also, borrowing OKB to join Jumpstart is an option. If you are worried about OKB price swings, you can borrow OKB using BTC or USDT as collateral to stake, keep your own assets, and still earn project tokens.
Risk Reminder: Borrowing Costs Must Be Considered
If you borrow OKB to join Jumpstart, the loan has interest. The project token rewards may not cover that cost. Calculate carefully before you start—do not let your expected yield be lower than the borrowing interest.

How to Verify Your Account Is Ready
Go to the Jumpstart event page and confirm that the stakeable OKB amount matches your Funding Account balance. If the event has already started, try staking a small amount to see if the system accepts it. If it works, your account is ready.
