How to Set Up Binance Stock Recurring Buy? Deductions, Execution, and Pausing

Binance stock recurring buy works like this: you set the frequency, assets, and amount in a plan. The system then automatically deducts funds and buys for you about 1.5 hours after the market opens on each trading day (around 10:30 AM Eastern Time). You do not need to confirm each order manually. It solves the problem of wanting to invest long term without placing orders every time. However, pausing and canceling require more attention than regular financial products, because if you forget your funding account balance, the plan may fail repeatedly.

First, Check If You Have Access

The recurring buy feature is currently available only to eligible users, and availability depends on your country or region. US residents cannot use Binance stock services, just as they cannot directly buy stocks on Binance.

How to check: open the Binance App, go to Trade > Stocks, and see whether there is a Recurring Buy entry on the page. If you see it, you are eligible. If not, your region is not currently supported.

What You Can Buy and How to Set It Up

Currently, 100 stocks and ETFs are supported, including Apple, Tesla, Nvidia, Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Coinbase, and popular ETFs such as SPY, QQQ, and VOO.

A plan can include only one stock or multiple stocks. If you choose multiple stocks, you need to set an allocation percentage. The system will split each period's amount across the different assets according to your allocation.

There are four frequency options: weekly, biweekly, monthly, and every trading day. Every trading day means buying once on each US stock market open day, which is the fastest pace.

The minimum amount is $5. This is the same as the minimum for directly buying stocks, and recurring buy also supports fractional shares.

Deductions and Execution: Timing, Funding Source, and What Happens If It Fails

Execution time is fixed, but you cannot control it precisely. The system executes around 10:30 AM Eastern Time, which is 1.5 hours after the market opens. Official information says the actual execution time may vary due to trade processing. If a scheduled day falls on a US stock public holiday, it will be postponed to the next trading day.

The funding source is assets such as USDC or USDT in your Funding account or Spot account. When recurring buy executes, it deducts from the account you specified. If the balance is insufficient, that period's order will not be executed, and it will not automatically deduct from another account.

Here is something you need to actively manage: Binance will not remind you when your balance is insufficient. If you set a weekly plan but forget to keep enough USDC one week, that period will be skipped and will not be bought later. You need to make sure the designated account has enough assets on each execution date.

Fees: Same as Manual Buying

Recurring buy does not charge extra fees. The fee structure is the same as manually buying stocks:

  • Orders of $350 or less: $0.35 platform fee per order.
  • Orders over $350: 0.1% spread fee.

If you invest $100 per month, each period costs $0.35, and 12 periods in a year total $4.20. This cost is not low as a percentage for small recurring investments, but it is exactly the same as manually placing small buy orders.

Pause and Resume: Not the Same as Cancel

This is the most confusing part. Binance stock recurring buy has two different actions in the management menu: Pause and Cancel/Delete.

Pause temporarily stops execution, but the plan itself is kept. You can later Resume it, and the original frequency, assets, and amount settings remain unchanged.

Cancel/Delete permanently removes the plan. After canceling, it cannot be recovered, and you need to create a new plan.

Already executed purchases are not affected. Pausing or canceling only stops future automatic deductions. The stocks you already bought remain in your holdings.

Where to manage: go to Trade > Stocks > Recurring Buy, find your plan, and tap Edit or the ... menu next to the plan. From there you can change the frequency, amount, assets, funding source, or pause, resume, or delete the plan.

When to Pause and When to Cancel

Pause is suitable when you only want to stop deductions for a short time, such as when cash is tight or you want to observe the market first, but you still plan to continue the plan long term. After resuming, you do not need to set everything up again.

Cancel is suitable when you no longer like a particular asset or want to switch to a completely different recurring buy portfolio. Canceling and creating a new plan is cleaner than modifying the old plan.

One reminder: when you modify a plan, the execution time does not update in real time. If you make changes near 10:30 AM on the execution day, that period's order may still be executed according to the old settings. After making changes, it is a good idea to confirm the next execution date and settings match your expectations.
