After Binance migrates your Funding Account, your crypto assets move from the Funding Account into your Spot Account. They do not disappear, and they do not go into a new account you need to create. During and after the migration, your total asset balance stays the same, and your transaction history is kept. If you cannot see your original coins in the Funding Account, check the Spot Account first.

Migration timeline and account changes
This migration starts on September 29, 2026, and is expected to last until January 2027. Binance will announce the exact dates separately.
After the migration is complete, the original "Funding Account" will be renamed the Stocks Account. It will only be used for stock and stock options trading settlement. Your daily crypto deposits, withdrawals, and trading will all go through the Spot Account. Starting September 29, the Funding Account will no longer support on-chain deposits. Deposits and withdrawals of other crypto tokens will go through the Spot Account.
Where exactly does your money go
Crypto assets in the Funding Account will migrate to the Spot Account. This is not a "merge" or a "conversion." Your coin types and amounts will not change. Only the storage location changes from the Funding Account to the Spot Account.
A new "One-Click Migration" button has been added to the Funding Account. You can use it to move assets to the Spot Account early. If you do nothing, starting in January 2027, the system will automatically migrate the remaining assets in batches. You do not need to do anything.
There is one exception to note: bStocks (Binance tokenized securities) will also migrate to the Spot Account, not stay in the Stocks Account. Existing bStock balances in the Funding Account can be transferred early through One-Click Migration. Otherwise, they will be automatically moved to the Spot Account starting in January.
What stays in the Stocks Account
The renamed Stocks Account will keep six settlement assets: USD, USDC, USDT, USD1, U, and BNB. These assets can be transferred internally between the Spot Account and the Stocks Account for stock and stock options trading settlement.
However, the Stocks Account does not support direct on-chain deposits and withdrawals. If you want to withdraw USDT, USDC, or BNB, you need to transfer them internally to the Spot Account first, then withdraw from the Spot Account.
Other related changes
The migration also affects several features you may use:
Pay, Card, and Gift Card: Assets received starting September 29 will be credited directly to the Spot Account. Before that date, Funding Account balances can still temporarily be used as a payment source, but Binance plans to remove this function before the Stocks Account rename.
Convert limit orders: Existing open orders with assets frozen in the Funding Account will remain open. Orders that settle or expire after September 29 will return funds to the Spot Account. Newly created limit orders will only be frozen and settled in the Spot Account.
P2P users: Regular P2P users with no ad history or merchant status in the past three months will use the Spot Account as the default source for buy and sell orders. P2P advertisers will temporarily continue using the Funding Account until Binance launches a dedicated P2P account in December.
API users: If you use the API, you need to change the account reference from Funding to Spot, because settlement activity is moving away from the Funding Account.
What you need to check
The migration itself does not require manual action, but you can do one thing proactively: log in to Binance and check the Spot Account to see whether your assets have arrived. If you see the "One-Click Migration" button in the Funding Account, you can click it to complete the transfer early. Whether or not you act manually, your total asset balance will not be affected, and your transaction history will remain available.
