Binance Capital Connect is not a wealth management product for regular users. It is a strategy marketplace that connects qualified investors with professional trading teams. The minimum requirement is 1 million US dollars in assets or VIP 3 level. If you do not meet this condition, the rest of this article will not be directly useful to you for now.

It works completely differently from "buying a financial product": the funds you invest always remain in custody within your Binance account. Trading teams only have execution rights and cannot move your funds away. Your money goes into a separate Portfolio Account, where the trading team runs strategies. You subscribe and redeem based on NAV (Net Asset Value).
Requirement: 1 Million US Dollars Is a Hard Condition
Starting September 14, 2026, individual investors can gain access through KYC verification + meeting any one of the following conditions:
VIP 3 level or above
Total Binance account assets equal to or greater than 1,000,000 USD equivalent
Submit proof of external assets worth 1 million USD equivalent for review
Before this date, Capital Connect was only open to institutional users who completed KYB verification. This update opened the door to high-net-worth individual investors for the first time.
There is also an easily overlooked "inactivity" rule: if you gain access but do not submit any subscription request within 12 months, your access will be cancelled. You will need to wait 180 days before you can apply again.
Lock-up and Redemption: Every Strategy Has Different Terms
Capital Connect does not have a single unified "lock-up period" or "redemption time". Each trading team sets its own lock-up period and settlement cycle, written in the strategy's Key Fact Sheet. You can see this before subscribing.
The lock-up period could be 30 days, 90 days, or even 1 year. You cannot redeem during the lock-up period. After the lock-up ends, redemptions are processed according to the strategy's settlement window (N + number of days). Funds return to your account after settlement is complete.
One detail worth noting: subscriptions on Capital Connect require approval from the trading team. After you submit a subscription request, funds are not deducted immediately. Only after the team accepts your request are funds transferred into the Portfolio Account. Shares are shown after daily settlement. This means you cannot get "instant execution".
Fees: Charged by Trading Teams, Not by Binance
Access to Capital Connect itself is free. Binance does not charge investors any platform fees. The costs you pay are the management fee + performance fee charged by the trading team:
Management fee: accrued daily based on NAV, with an annualized rate set by the trading team.
Performance fee: only deducted at redemption from positive returns. The specific percentage is written in the Key Fact Sheet.
All fees are disclosed before you subscribe. What you need to check is: whether the performance fee is calculated based on a "high-water mark" or calculated separately for each redemption. This directly determines the net return you actually receive.
One Key Judgment: What Are You Investing In
The strategy types shown on Capital Connect include market neutral, directional, statistical arbitrage, long-short, and TradFi multi-strategy, among others. Performance data is disclosed directly by Binance. Trading teams cannot fill in or modify historical records themselves.
As of September 2026, the platform has 212 portfolios from 77 trading teams, compared to 106 portfolios from 35 teams in May.
But you need to be clear: Capital Connect does not guarantee principal, does not guarantee returns, and Binance does not recommend any strategy. The historical performance you see is what happened in the past and does not represent the future. If a trading team performs poorly—cumulative returns below -10% for non-directional strategies, or below -30% for directional strategies—that team will be delisted. However, your existing investment is not affected; you just cannot add more funds.
Who It Suits and Who It Does Not
Suitable for: people who already hold more than 1 million USD in crypto assets, want to allocate part of their funds to professional trading teams without leaving Binance custody, and can accept lock-up periods and strategy drawdowns. You do not need to open your own exchange account, manage private keys yourself, or watch the market all day.
Not suitable for: users with less than 1 million USD in assets (no access); people who want to redeem at any time (lock-up periods are set by trading teams); people who expect "guaranteed profit" (strategies may lose money, and Binance does not bear any loss).
If you do not meet the conditions yet, you can first raise your Binance account VIP level and asset size, or pay attention to Capital Connect's EIO (Express Interest Only) mode. That mode allows you to browse strategies that are not yet open for subscription and submit non-binding expressions of interest, but you cannot invest.
