Binance verification code not showing up? First, check these 5 items about your email and device. In most cases, it's not a platform fault but emails getting filtered, incorrect device time, or clicking too frequently causing a block.

Prerequisites

  • You can log into Binance website or app and confirm that the linked email/phone number is accessible.
  • If the email is generated by Apple ID's "Hide My Email" feature, verify that the forwarding target address can receive emails normally.
  • You have an internet-connected device to receive the verification code.

Check 1: Verify the linked email/phone number

Binance sends verification codes only to the address or number linked in your account backend. If one character is wrong, you'll never get it, no matter how many times you click.

In Account Security settings, check the displayed address/number for "Email Verification" and "Phone Verification". If the number is wrong or the email has a typo (like @gmal.com), stop hitting "Get Code" and go through the change process.

Completion standard: The receiving end in security settings matches your current device.

Check 2: Investigate email filtering

This is the most overlooked step. Binance emails may be automatically sorted by Gmail, Outlook, QQ Mail, etc. into "Spam", "Promotions", or "Social" tabs instead of the inbox.

First, search those folders for This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or keyword "Binance". If found, mark it as "Not spam" and add the sender to your address book whitelist. Also turn off any inbox rules that auto-archive mail from binance.com.

Completion standard: You can find previous verification emails from Binance in any mailbox folder and they open normally.

Check 3: Check phone signal and SMS blocking (SMS verification only)

The most common reasons for not receiving SMS codes are weak signal, system-level SMS blocking, or carrier blocking of automated messages.

Move to an area with good signal, toggle Airplane mode off/on to reset the network. Check the SMS app's "Spam" or "Blocked messages" folder. Some phones (Huawei, Xiaomi) have built-in spam filtering that blocks verification texts. If carrier SMS still won't come through, Binance partially supports voice calls for verification, which can be a backup.

Completion standard: The phone can normally receive SMS codes from other platforms.

Check 4: Sync device time (if codes show as "Wrong")

If you receive the code but entering it gives "Wrong code" and you're sure it's correct — it's highly likely your phone's automatic time sync is off or the timezone is wrong. Authenticators like Google Authenticator rely on the device's local time to generate time-based codes; a time skew of over 30 seconds will cause verification to fail.

Go to phone Settings > Date & Time, make sure "Set automatically" and "Automatic time zone" are both on. If already on, turn them off and on again to force a re-sync. The authenticator will roll a new code; use the latest one.

Completion standard: Phone time differs from network time by no more than 1 second.

Check 5: Stop repeated clicking and wait for cooldown

Binance clearly states: repeatedly hitting "Get Code" in a short time will cause the system to throttle the request, even temporarily lock your security verification entry. Each click invalidates the previous email/SMS, and eventually your inbox is full of expired codes while the newest one is buried.

Click once, then wait at least 10 minutes. If after 10 minutes you still haven't received it, the problem isn't frequency — move to another check.

Completion standard: After clicking "Get Code", the page shows a "Sent successfully" prompt, not "Too frequent, please try again later".

Risk Notice

If none of the above 5 checks resolves it, the current verification channel has completely failed. Do not keep clicking on the login page. Binance provides an official recovery process for "Security verification unavailable" — verify your identity through another 2FA method you've already set up (like Google Authenticator or Passkey), or submit identity verification to reset security settings. After the reset, withdrawals, C2C, and payment services will be disabled for 48 hours. Absolutely do not contact any third party claiming to "expedite for a fee" or "receive codes on your behalf". The verification code, like your private key, is the last line of defense for your account.

Verification After Completion

After the above checks, initiate a new login or security operation. If you receive the code and log in successfully, the issue is resolved.

If still not receiving after all methods, submit a ticket through the Binance official app: "Help Center" → "Contact Support", providing screenshots and descriptions. Manual review typically takes 1-2 business days. Verification channels: Binance official Help Center and in-app support.
