Binance's Auto-Order Routing (AOR) does not give you a "final quote" to confirm. Your order only has a preferred trading pair (such as BTC/BRL), and the system decides in the background whether to route through USDT to get a better execution price. You cannot see or interfere with this decision.

This means that in an AOR scenario, the logic of "verifying execution" is different from what you are used to in spot trading.
The Quote You See Is Not the Final Execution Price
When placing an order on an AOR trading pair, the "synthetic market data" shown in the trading interface is only a reference, not a promise. The official documentation clearly states that synthetic data is "for informational purposes only," and the latest traded price may come from either the preferred trading pair or the intermediary trading pair.
When you place an order for BTC/BRL, the system may actually execute through the BTC/USDT path. Your BRL is first converted into USDT, and then USDT is used to buy BTC. The whole process is completed in one order, and you only pay one fee, but the conversion rate for the USDT/BRL step may not be the real-time rate from the Binance spot market.
This is the most important thing to note about AOR: the execution price you receive is denominated in BRL, but it is calculated by reverse conversion, not a price you directly took from the BRL order book.
Which Order Types Support AOR
Both market orders and limit orders are supported, including four specific forms:
- Limit IOC (Immediate or Cancel)
- Limit GTC (Good Till Cancelled)
- Market sell orders denominated in the base currency (such as BTC in BTC/BRL)
- Market buy orders denominated in the quote currency (such as BRL in BTC/BRL)
The execution logic of limit orders is not affected by AOR: the price you set is the lower or upper limit, and the system will only execute within the range of "your price or better." AOR optimizes market orders and the immediately executable portion of limit orders. If an order is not fully executed immediately, the remaining portion will return to your original trading pair (BTC/BRL) as a pending order.
Where to Verify After Execution
When verifying AOR orders, do not only look at the "last traded price" figure. That number may confuse you — it may be higher than the best ask or lower than the best bid because it may come from an intermediary trading pair.
What you should look at is the actual execution details in order history.
The Binance App needs to be updated to version 3.20.5 or higher to see AOR-routed orders in order and trade history. Trade records will show "actually executed trades, including execution price, quantity, and fees." If an order partially went through an intermediary pair, the displayed price will be converted back to your preferred asset (such as BRL), so you can see the actual amount paid.
If you need to see the original execution price and the conversion rate used, you need to export the complete trade details from the Data Download Center. The "converted price" shown directly in the App is for regular users; the full AOR path record is only available in the Excel details.
How Fees Are Charged
AOR does not charge extra fees. You only pay the standard spot trading fee based on the actually executed trading pair, according to your VIP level and BNB discount status. The conversion between the preferred asset and the intermediary asset in the path (such as USDT/BRL) does not incur additional commission.
However, the currency in which fees are deducted depends on the actually executed trading pair. For example, if a BTC/BRL sell order goes through the BTC/USDT path, the fee will be charged in USDT.
When AOR Will Not Trigger
AOR is a "best effort" feature, and not every eligible order will go through an intermediary path.
If there is no price improvement opportunity on the intermediary path at the time of order placement, the order will be executed directly on the preferred trading pair. Binance sets limits on the convertible amount between the preferred asset and the intermediary asset. These limits change with market conditions, and there is no guarantee of a minimum conversion amount or continuous availability of the feature. Once the conversion limit is reached, the remaining portion will return directly to the preferred trading pair.
So you may encounter this situation: placing the same BTC/BRL order, one goes through the USDT path and the next one does not. This is not a malfunction; it is how AOR normally works.
Known Trading Pairs and Limitations
Currently, the first publicly supported AOR trading pair is BTC/BRL. Other AOR-supported trading pairs will be displayed in the trading interface. According to Korean media reports, Binance is also working on support for USDT-margined trading pairs, with USD/USDC pairs being part of the follow-up plan.
The feature may be unavailable due to regional restrictions.
What to Confirm in Actual Operation
Before placing an order: confirm that you are trading on an AOR-supported trading pair (the interface will show it). If you are using a market order, accept the fact that you cannot see the final price before execution.
After execution: go to order history to view the actual execution details. If your App version is lower than 3.20.5, you may not see the AOR routing label.
When reconciling accounts: if you need precise cost records (such as for tax reporting), export the complete trade details from the Data Download Center instead of relying on the converted price shown in the App. The original execution price and conversion rate there are the accurate data.
If your order did not go through an intermediary path, the execution record is just a regular BTC/BRL trade, and no additional verification is needed. The complexity of AOR only matters when it actually triggers.
