How to Use OKX Wallet Discover: Find DApps, Verify Safety, and Exit

OKX Wallet's Discover page is a DApp aggregator. Its main purpose is to help you find and connect to decentralized applications. Use categories and search to find DApps. Verify safety with the wallet's built-in risk detection and domain checks. To exit, you need to handle "disconnect" and "revoke approval" separately.

Find the DApp You Want

In the OKX App, go to Web3 Wallet and tap the Discover tab at the bottom. The homepage recommends popular apps. You can tap one to enter it directly, or add it to "My Favorites" for easier access next time.

If you don't see what you need on the homepage, use the search box at the top to type the DApp name or URL. Discover also offers category browsing, including DeFi, DEX, NFT marketplaces, blockchain games, inscriptions, and tools. You can filter by supported chain.

On the web version: After logging into the OKX website, hover over Discover and select Explore DApps to enter.

Connecting and Verifying

After finding a DApp, click to enter its page and select Connect Wallet. OKX Wallet will show a confirmation window with the currently selected account and network. Check them and confirm the connection.

Verification mainly involves three things:

First, check the wallet's prompts. OKX Wallet has built-in KYS (Know Your Signature) risk detection. When you connect to a DApp, approve permissions, or sign messages, it will show a warning if it detects risk. For example, if you try to grant approval to an EOA account (a regular wallet address) instead of a DApp's contract address, the wallet will warn you. If it says "This transaction is risky," it means the contract address has been flagged, and the transaction will be blocked.

Second, check the domain. DApps entered from the Discover portal have gone through OKX's initial screening, but that does not mean they are absolutely safe. OKX officially states that DApps are developed by third-party platforms, are not official OKX products, and OKX does not guarantee their security. If you enter from an external link, make sure to manually check that the domain in the browser address bar is correct.

Third, check the approval target. A normal approval should be given to the DApp's smart contract address. If the wallet warns you that the approval target is an EOA account, you should stop.

Exiting: Disconnecting and Revoking Approvals Are Different

Disconnecting deals with the "session between your wallet and this DApp." In the OKX Wallet extension, you can go to Settings → DApps connection → Disconnect all to disconnect everything at once. In the App, you can usually find connection management in the wallet's settings. After disconnecting, the DApp can no longer read your address or request signatures.

Revoking approval deals with "on-chain permissions." An approval is the "spending permission" you give to a contract. Disconnecting does not automatically revoke it. OKX Wallet will show a pop-up reminder when you have not interacted with a DApp's approval for a long time (currently, it triggers a notification after more than 30 days of inactivity). You can check and revoke risky approvals through the wallet's approval management page.

What to Do If a DApp Won't Open

If you can't access it after clicking, first make sure you are connected through the OKX Web3 Wallet. Then check your network connection. If the network is fine, try switching network nodes, refreshing the page, or restarting your device and trying again.
