Step 1: Find the "Modify Verification" Entrance
Log into your OKX main account and follow these paths to the verification page:
App: Tap the bottom-right [Me] → [Account & Security] → [Identity Verification].
Website: In [Personal Center] or [Account Settings], look for [Identity Verification] or [Real-name Verification] option.
After entering the page, if the system detects your ID has expired, it will usually show a red warning or a "Pending Update" label. Click [Modify Verification] or [Re-verify], and select "ID card expired" as the reason.
Step 2: Submit New Documents and Complete Verification
You will need to redo the KYC verification steps:
Upload clear photos of the front and back of your new document. Make sure all four corners are visible, with no glare, no obstructions, and legible text.
Complete the liveness check (facial recognition); the system will automatically start a manual review process.
During review, some account functions may be restricted. It usually takes 1–3 business days, and the result will be sent via in-app message or email.

Common Reasons for Rejection
Photo not acceptable: Glare, blur, cropped edges, or incomplete corners will lead to rejection. It's best to take the photo in natural daylight on a flat surface.
Abnormal original verification status: If the account is under risk control or frozen, you need to resolve that restriction first before submitting an update.
Forgot to renew your ID: If the new document you uploaded hasn't been issued yet or is already expired, the review will not pass.

After Completion
Verification method: After receiving the approval notice, log in again and check the [Identity Verification] page to confirm the status has been updated to "Verified" and shows the new expiration date.
Next steps: If rejected, re-take and upload photos based on the reason given in the notice. Do not submit the same materials repeatedly in a short time, as it slows down the review. If your account was restricted due to expired documents, contact online customer support after the update is completed to request that restrictions be lifted.
