Withdrawing a large amount without testing first is gambling. Do a Satoshi Test first—spend a few dollars to verify your address and network. It's much more effective than spending days chasing customer support later. OKX officially requires a Satoshi test for first-time or high-risk withdrawal addresses to verify address ownership. Before you start, go through these 4 checks.

Step 1: Verify the withdrawal address and network—every character matters
What to do: Make sure the destination address and the selected network match perfectly.
How to do it: Before withdrawing, confirm which networks the receiving platform or wallet supports. For example, if you are withdrawing USDT to a wallet that supports TRC-20, you must choose Tron/TRC-20 on OKX. If you pick the wrong network, the funds will go to a chain your wallet doesn't recognize. Check the address character by character—one missing character or an extra space and the money is gone. When withdrawing to an exchange, if a Tag or Memo is required, fill it in correctly. Leaving it blank or entering it wrong can cause the deposit to fail.
Success criteria: The network option on the withdrawal page matches what the receiver supports, and the address is verified digit by digit after pasting.
Common cause of failure: Many people pick the network with the lowest fee to save money, only to find the receiver doesn't support that chain. If OKX shows "Transferred out," the assets have left the platform. The receiver's support is the only way to get them back; OKX cannot help.
Step 2: Confirm the minimum withdrawal amount and network fee
What to do: Know the coin's minimum withdrawal limit and the fee.
How to do it: The OKX withdrawal page directly shows the minimum withdrawal amount and estimated miner fee for that coin. Fees vary a lot by network—for USDT, TRC-20 usually costs around 1 USDT, while ERC-20 can be much higher. Make sure your balance is larger than "min amount + fee," or you cannot submit the request.
Success criteria: No "insufficient balance" or "below minimum limit" error appears on the withdrawal page, and you can proceed normally.
High risk: Withdrawal fees are charged per transaction, not based on the amount. Sending 10 USDT or 10,000 USDT on the same chain costs the same fee. For small withdrawals, the fee takes a big bite, so use a cheaper chain.
Step 3: Run a Satoshi test to verify address ownership
What to do: If you are withdrawing to an address you rarely use or have never used, the system may trigger a Satoshi test—you need to send a specific amount of test coins to a given address to prove you control it.
How to do it: When the system asks for address verification during withdrawal, select "Satoshi test" to start. The page shows the exact amount to send (usually 1–10 USDT, excluding network fees) and the receiving address. Within the 90-minute window, send that exact amount from the address you want to verify to the OKX-provided address. Then click "I have completed the deposit" and enter the address owner's personal information.
Success criteria: The verification status shows "Success," and the address is marked as verified for 6 months. If it fails or times out, you can try again, but the network fees you already paid are not refunded.
Risk warning: The test deposit amount must match the specified amount exactly. Any slight difference will cause the verification to fail, and those test funds will be locked. You will need to contact customer support and provide sender details to get them back.

Step 4: Withdraw a small amount first, confirm it arrives, then send the large amount
What to do: For the actual withdrawal, start with the smallest possible amount.
How to do it: Withdraw the minimum (for example, 10 USDT) to the destination address. After submitting, look for the TxID (transaction hash) in your withdrawal history. If no TxID appears, the request may still be processing inside the platform; wait until the status changes to "Transferred out." Then use a blockchain explorer—Tronscan for TRC-20, Etherscan for ERC-20—to search that TxID. Make sure the transaction status is "Success" and enough confirmations have been reached. If the blockchain shows "Success" but the receiving wallet doesn't show it, re-check the address, network, and whether a Tag or Memo is missing.
Success criteria: The destination wallet balance increases by the small amount, and the on-chain transaction status reads "Success."
Verification after completion: Once the small test arrives, withdraw a slightly larger amount to the same address to confirm the process runs smoothly. After verifying everything works, add that address to your OKX address book. Next time, just select it from the address book to reduce the risk of typing errors. If a large withdrawal takes longer than usual, first check the OKX Status page for any network delay announcements, then contact the receiving platform's support.
