MON (Monad) is now listed on OKX spot market. You can directly buy it with USDT in the spot market. Note: In October 2025, OKX launched MON pre-market perpetual contracts, but spot trading officially opened on March 23, 2026. Here are the specific steps.

1. Preparation: Have USDT in Your Account

MON currently supports the MON/USDT spot trading pair, so you need USDT in your account.

  • If you already have USDT: Skip this step and go directly to step 2.

  • If you don't have USDT yet: In the App, tap [Assets] → [Deposit], search for USDT. The system will generate a deposit address. Transfer USDT from your other wallet or external source. Key risk: USDT has different networks like ERC-20, TRC-20. Make sure to select the exact same network as shown on OKX's deposit page. Choosing the wrong network will result in permanent loss of funds.

2. Find the MON Trading Pair and Place an Order

Once funds are ready, you can buy.

  • Find MON: In the App's top search bar, type MON, then select the MON/USDT spot trading pair from the results.

  • Place an order: Choose a market order (instantly execute at the best current price) or a limit order (set a price you're willing to wait for, pending until filled). Enter the amount and confirm the order.

3. Confirm Assets After Trading

After placing the order, go to [Assets] → [Spot Account] to see your MON balance, confirming the purchase. If the balance hasn't changed, check your order history in the Order Center to see if the order has been filled.

4. Key Risk Reminders

  • Network confirmation: MON is the native token of the Monad network. When depositing or withdrawing, make sure to select the Monad network; do not choose the wrong chain.

  • Distinguish between platforms with the same name: When searching "MON", be careful to differentiate "Monad" from another project called "MON mode" to avoid buying the wrong token.

  • Price volatility of newly listed coins: Coins just listed in March 2026 may experience significant short-term price fluctuations, so manage your position size.

How to confirm the operation is complete:

After a successful order, go to OKX's "Assets" page, tap into "Spot Account". If you can see the MON balance, the funding operation is complete. If the balance hasn't updated, go to the "Order Center" to check whether the order record has been filled.
