How to Change Your Login Password on OKX
There are two scenarios with different entry points: if you remember your current password, change it directly in 'Security Settings'; if you forgot it, click 'Forgot Password' on the login page to reset. The steps differ slightly between the App and Web versions, as explained below.

1. If You Remember Your Current Password: Direct Change
This is the most common case—you want to proactively change your password.
App Operation:Open the OKX App, tap the [Profile] icon at the top left of the homepage, go to [Security Settings], and find [Login Password]. Follow the on-screen prompts to enter your current password and new password, complete the security verification (e.g., phone/email verification code), and confirm.
Web Operation:Log in to the official website, click the [Profile] icon at the top right, go to [Security Center]. In the 'Security Settings' section, find [Login Password] and click [Change Password]. Similarly, enter your current password, new password, and pass verification.
Special Case: No Old Password Set:If you previously logged in using a 'Passkey' and no old password is stored in the system, you will need to verify your identity via facial or fingerprint recognition before setting a new password directly.
2. If You Forgot Your Current Password: Reset Password
If you cannot log in to your account, proceed directly with the reset process.
App Operation:On the login page, enter your phone number or email, tap [Next], then select [Forgot Password]. Follow the on-screen instructions to verify your bound security items (phone/email verification code, etc.). Once verified, you can set a new password.

Cannot receive verification code:Check your phone signal and email spam folder; confirm you haven't mistakenly blocked the official number. Frequent attempts may trigger rate limiting—wait 15 minutes and try again.
Page lag or unable to click 'Next':There may be network latency. Refresh the page or switch networks. On the App, try updating to the latest version.
