How to Deposit EGLD on OKX? MultiversX Funding Tutorial
To deposit EGLD to OKX, you don't need a Memo tag. Simply copy and paste the wallet address. However, network upgrades and suspension of deposits and withdrawals for MultiversX (EGLD) are common. Before proceeding, make sure OKX has enabled EGLD deposit and withdrawal services. Otherwise, the funds may be sent but not credited.

Prerequisite: One Thing You Must Check Beforehand
Network Status: The MultiversX network that EGLD runs on undergoes regular upgrades. During network upgrades, OKX will suspend EGLD deposit services, a risk-control measure common among major exchanges. Therefore, before you proceed, you must open the OKX app or website deposit page and check for any red or yellow warning messages such as "Deposit suspended" or "Network upgrade in progress." If suspended, wait until it resumes; don't forcefully transfer.
Steps: Recharging EGLD from an External Wallet/Exchange to OKX
Log in to OKX and find the EGLD deposit entrance: Open the OKX app or website, click [Assets] - [Deposit]. Type "EGLD" in the search box, and select the MultiversX (EGLD) network.
Copy your unique deposit address: The system will generate a long string starting with erd1. Click the [Copy] button next to the address. This address is your sole proof for this deposit.
What counts as done: You have pasted the address starting with erd1 into a memo or clipboard, ready for the next step.
Initiate the transfer on the sending platform: Go to wherever you hold EGLD (such as another exchange, imToken wallet, etc.), select "Withdraw/Transfer". Paste the address copied in step 2 completely into the "Receiving address" field. Enter the amount of EGLD you want to send.
Verify the network and address, then submit the transaction:
Key check: Confirm that the sending platform has also selected the MultiversX network. If you choose BSC or ETH network, your assets will be lost.
Check the address: Carefully verify the first 6 and last 6 characters of the pasted address to ensure they match exactly what you see on the OKX page.
After confirming the miner fee (gas fee), submit.
What counts as done: The sending platform shows "Withdrawal successful" and gives you a TxID (transaction hash).
Common Failure Reasons and Risk Reminders
Common failure reason: Network congestion or delayed arrival: After the on-chain transfer is initiated, it needs block confirmations on the MultiversX network. If the network is congested, you might wait half an hour and still not see the assets in OKX. This is not a mistake in the information; it's just a "traffic jam". Be patient.
Risk reminder: Do not reuse deposit addresses: Although the EGLD address OKX gives you is theoretically valid long-term, it is not recommended to save this address and use it directly next time. Before each deposit, it's best to go back to the deposit page and check. In case the platform changes the address or there is a network upgrade, using an old address may cause the deposit to fail. Develop the habit of copying a new address each time.

How to Confirm Your Operation Was Correct
Open OKX's [Assets] page, click on the EGLD coin to view the funding record. If you see "Deposit pending" or "Deposit successful", it means the address was correct and the money has arrived. If the TxID shows "Success" on the blockchain explorer for more than 1 hour but there's still no movement on OKX, take the TxID to OKX customer support and submit a ticket for them to manually credit.
