How to Withdraw USD to Your Bank After Selling Crypto on Binance.US

After selling crypto on Binance.US, the main way to withdraw USD to your bank is ACH bank transfer. You need to have a verified U.S. bank account linked, and your available USD balance must not be locked by a recent deposit. If you recently deposited via ACH, the corresponding USD (or the crypto you bought with it) cannot be withdrawn for 168 hours. If you don't see an ACH withdrawal option, it usually means your region does not support USD services, or there is another issue with your account status.

First, check if you can use ACH

Binance.US currently relies mainly on ACH for USD withdrawals, unlike Binance international which has multiple local channels. In the Wallet or Payment Methods page, you should see the Bank Transfer (ACH) option. If you don't see it, stop and check the list of supported regions on Binance.US. Being able to open the website and log in does not mean your state can use USD withdrawal services.

Linking a bank account uses the Plaid verification process: in Payment Methods, select Add Payment Method, choose Bank Transfer (ACH), enter your phone number to receive a verification code, then search for your bank in the Plaid interface and log in to your online banking to complete the connection. You need to grant Plaid permission to read your account information. Only after the connection is complete will the bank account appear as a withdrawal option.

Where does the money go after selling crypto

After selling crypto on Binance.US spot, the proceeds go into your USD balance. There is one point that often confuses people: having a number in your USD balance does not mean all of it can be withdrawn immediately. Binance.US uses a pre-credited mechanism for ACH deposits. After you initiate a deposit, you can trade immediately, but the corresponding amount (and any crypto you buy with it, including USDT) is locked from withdrawal for 7 calendar days (168 hours). The lock starts from the moment the ACH deposit is initiated, not from the time you sell crypto.

To check if your funds are locked: go to the Wallet page, find Deposit Management or USD balance details, and look at ACH Lock Status. If it shows Locked, it will give you the UTC date and time when the lock ends. Only after the lock is released can you withdraw the USD from your sale.

What to check when making a withdrawal

Go to Wallet, then Withdraw, select Withdraw Cash, and choose your linked bank account. The withdrawal amount cannot exceed your available USD balance. The confirmation step will show the last digits or name of the receiving bank. At this step, double-check that the account is correct, because once an ACH transfer is sent, there is very little room to change or cancel it. Binance.US will require two-factor authentication (2FA) to submit the withdrawal request.

After submission, the withdrawal status will appear in your transaction history. For ACH withdrawals, Binance.US officially states that arrival time is 1 to 5 business days, depending on your bank's processing speed. If your bank still hasn't received the money after that time, first confirm that the withdrawal status on Binance.US shows success rather than processing, then contact Binance.US customer service with your bank statement.

Common reasons withdrawals get stuck

ACH deposit lock period not over. This is the most common situation. The 7-day lock period cannot be shortened or bypassed. It applies to all users and all ACH deposits. Wait until the unlock time arrives.

Recent changes to account security settings. If you reset 2FA or changed your password, withdrawals will be temporarily disabled for 48 hours. If you changed your email address, the lock period is 120 hours. These locks are designed to prevent funds from being quickly moved out after an account is compromised. Just wait; there is no faster option.

No ACH withdrawal option available. If you cannot find the ACH option in Payment Methods, or adding a bank account fails, the problem is usually regional eligibility or account status. Binance.US USD services are not available in all states. Users in some regions can only sell USDT through third-party channels (such as Transak) and transfer to their bank. That path has its own KYC and fees, and is not the same process as ACH.

Wire transfer as an alternative. Binance.US also supports wire withdrawals, but there is a $25 fee and a minimum withdrawal amount of $100. Processing time is usually 2 to 5 business days. Unless your amount is large and ACH truly won't work, there is no need to choose Wire. ACH has zero fees.

One boundary that is easy to overlook

Binance.US and Binance international (Binance.com) are two independently operated platforms. If you registered a Binance account in mainland China or another non-U.S. region, you cannot use the ACH process described in this article to withdraw USD. The title asks about Binance.US. If you actually have an international account, USD withdrawals there use completely different channels and rules, and you should refer to the international help center. The Binance international SWIFT withdrawal page found in this search involves VIP levels and regional restrictions, and does not apply to the Binance.US ACH process. Do not mix them up.
