How to Deposit ONE on OKX? A Harmony Funding Tutorial

There are two main ways to deposit Harmony (ONE) tokens on OKX: direct deposit via the exchange, or cross-chain transfer through a Web3 wallet. The key principle is — ONE tokens exist in different versions on different chains. Before depositing, you must first confirm which type of ONE you hold, then match it to the network supported by OKX.

Harmony (ONE) is the native token of the Harmony blockchain. There are also wrapped versions on Ethereum, BNB Chain and other networks via cross-chain bridges. Below are step-by-step instructions for different scenarios.

Pre-requisites

  1. You have registered an OKX account and completed identity verification (KYC). KYC is required to use the deposit function.

  2. You hold Harmony (ONE) tokens and know which blockchain they are currently on.

  3. You have the corresponding deposit address or cross-chain operation experience.

Step 1: Confirm Which Type of ONE You Hold

Harmony ONE has different contract addresses on different networks:

Case A: You hold native Harmony ONE on the Harmony mainnet

  • This is the native token on the Harmony blockchain, and the address format typically starts with one1.

  • When depositing to OKX, select the Harmony network.

Case B: You hold ONE on BNB Chain (BSC)

  • This is the wrapped version bridged from Harmony to BSC via a cross-chain bridge.

  • The ONE contract address on BSC: 0x03fF0ff224f904be3118461335064bB48Df47938.

  • When depositing to OKX, select the BNB Smart Chain network (requires OKX to support ONE deposits on that network).

Case C: You hold ONE on Ethereum mainnet (1ONE)

  • This is the wrapped version bridged to Ethereum, contract address: 0xD5cd84D6f044AbE314Ee7E414d37cae8773ef9D3.

  • When depositing to OKX, select the Ethereum network (requires OKX support).

Completion criteria: You clearly know which network your ONE is on and the corresponding contract address.

Step 2: Get the Corresponding Deposit Address on OKX

  1. Log in to the OKX App or web, go to [Assets] → [Deposit].

  2. Search for "ONE" or "Harmony".

  3. Select the network corresponding to your ONE version:

    • Harmony mainnet version → choose Harmony network

    • BSC version → choose BNB Smart Chain network

    • Ethereum version → choose Ethereum network

  4. Copy the deposit address shown on the page.

Completion criteria: Get the deposit address that matches your ONE version, as well as the corresponding network name and contract address.

If you cannot find the network corresponding to your version on the deposit page, it means that version is not currently supported by OKX. You need to first convert it to a supported version via a cross-chain bridge.

Step 3: Execute the Transfer

Case A (From Harmony mainnet):

  1. Open your Harmony mainnet wallet (e.g., MetaMask configured with Harmony RPC, or use the Harmony official wallet).

  2. Initiate a transfer, enter the OKX deposit address copied in Step 2 as the recipient.

  3. Confirm the network fee and submit.

Case B (From BSC/Ethereum):

  1. Open your corresponding wallet (e.g., MetaMask switched to BSC or Ethereum network).

  2. Initiate a transfer, enter the OKX deposit address copied in Step 2 as the recipient.

  3. Confirm the network fee and submit.

Case C (If your version is not directly supported by OKX): If OKX currently does not support the network version you hold, you need to first convert it to a network version supported by OKX using an official cross-chain bridge (such as the Harmony bridge). For example, bridge the ONE on BNB Chain back to native Harmony ONE on the mainnet, then follow Case A.

Completion criteria: The transaction has been submitted, and the status on the blockchain explorer shows "Pending" or "Success".

Step 4: Confirm the Deposit

  1. On OKX, go to [Assets] → [Deposit History] to check the deposit status.

  2. Deposit arrivals require on-chain confirmations. The number of confirmations varies by network; generally, the Ethereum network requires about 32 confirmations, and BSC requires about 19 confirmations. Once confirmed, the balance will update.

Completion criteria: The ONE balance in your Assets shows that the amount has increased.

Common Reasons for Failure

Choosing the Wrong Network

The most error-prone step. If you hold ONE on BSC but select the Ethereum network when depositing to OKX, the assets will not be credited. Before depositing, always confirm on the OKX deposit page: whether the token is selectable under that network and displays a deposit address. If the deposit page shows "temporarily not supported", do not force the transfer.

Risk Reminders

  • Sending via the wrong network may result in loss of assets: If ONE is sent to a network that does not support that token version, the platform cannot automatically credit it. You need to submit a ticket via customer service for manual handling, and recovery is not guaranteed.

  • Cross-chain bridges involve additional risks and fees: If you need to convert versions via a cross-chain bridge, pay attention to the security of the bridging protocol, and the cross-chain process will incur extra gas fees.

  • Subject to the OKX deposit page display: OKX's supported deposit networks are dynamically adjusted. Always check the current list of supported ONE deposit networks on the App or website before proceeding.

How to Confirm Operation Completion

After submitting the deposit, check the status in OKX [Deposit History]. When the status becomes "Completed" and the ONE balance on the [Assets] page has increased, it means the deposit was successful.

If it has not arrived after 30 minutes, copy the transaction hash (TxID) and submit a "Deposit not credited" ticket through the OKX Help Center for inquiry.
