OKX XTZ Deposit Guide: How to Fund Tezos (XTZ) on OKX
On OKX, "depositing" XTZ and "buying" XTZ with fiat are two different things. If you already have XTZ and want to transfer it from an external wallet to your OKX account, you'll use the deposit process; if you have CNY or USDT and want to exchange it for XTZ, you'll use the buy/trade process. Below we explain both scenarios.

Prerequisites
Scenario A (Deposit XTZ to OKX): You already hold XTZ in another wallet or exchange, and know how to initiate a transfer/withdrawal. You need to obtain your XTZ deposit address from OKX.
Scenario B (Buy XTZ with funds): Your OKX account has completed identity verification (KYC), and you have available funds (USDT, USDC, or other stablecoins/fiat) in your account.
XTZ deposit does not require a Memo (unlike EOS, XRP). You only need to fill in the correct on-chain address.
Steps
Scenario A: Deposit XTZ from an external wallet/exchange to OKX
Get your OKX XTZ deposit address: Open the OKX app or web version, go to [Assets] - [Deposit]. Search for "XTZ", select the Tezos network. The page will display a long string starting with "tz1" — this is your deposit address. Copy it.
Initiate transfer from the sending platform: Go to the place where you hold XTZ (e.g., imToken wallet or another exchange). Select "Withdraw/Transfer", and paste the address copied in step 1 exactly into the recipient address field. Enter the amount of XTZ you want to send.
Verify and submit: Carefully check that the pasted address is exactly the same (compare the first 6 and last 6 characters). Confirm the transaction fee (Gas fee) is within an acceptable range, then submit the transaction.
When is it considered complete? The sending platform shows "Transaction broadcast" or "Processing", and you will get a TxID (transaction hash). You can check the transaction status on a Tezos blockchain explorer.
Scenario B: Buy XTZ with funds inside OKX
Ensure there are funds in your account: If you don't have any money, you need to buy USDT first. For first-time fiat deposits, go to the [Buy Crypto] page and use bank card or C2C trading to deposit.
Enter trading page: On OKX, find [Trade] - [Spot Trading]. In the search box, type "XTZ", and select the XTZ/USDT trading pair (the most mainstream pair).
Place an order to buy:
Market order: Enter the amount of USDT you want to spend, and the system will buy at the current price.
Limit order: Set the price you are willing to buy, and wait for the order to be filled.
When is it considered complete? The order status shows "Filled", and you can see an increase in the XTZ balance on the [Assets] page.
Important notes for deposits (on‑chain transfers)
Common reasons for failure: Wrong network selection or address error XTZ has its own independent network (Tezos). Some mistakenly select BSC or ERC20 network to deposit XTZ, resulting in asset loss. Only use the Tezos network for deposits. Moreover, even one wrong character in the address means the funds will be sent to someone else.
Risk reminders:
Wallet compatibility: Not all wallets support the Tezos network address format by default; refer to the deposit address displayed on the OKX page.
Minimum deposit limit: Exchanges usually have a minimum amount for XTZ deposits; amounts below the limit will not be credited. Check the specific limit on the OKX deposit page.
Arrival time: The Tezos network has a block confirmation mechanism, and after the transfer you need to wait for network confirmations. Funds usually arrive within a few minutes.

How to confirm you did it correctly
If it is a deposit (on-chain transfer): Open your sending wallet and find the TxID (transaction hash) of this transfer. Copy the hash and search it on a Tezos blockchain explorer (such as TzKT). If the status shows "Success" and the receiving address is the one provided by OKX, it means the on-chain part is successful. Then wait patiently for OKX to credit the deposit, usually after 1-3 network confirmations you will see it in your assets.
If it is a purchase (trade): Directly check the XTZ available balance in [Assets]. If the number has increased, you have bought it. If a limit order is not filled, you need to wait for the price to reach your set point.
