Does the Binance Futures P&L Calendar Show Net Returns?

No. The "P&L Calendar" on Binance Futures shows net P&L, which already deducts trading fees and funding fees. The reason the number you see under "Realized P&L" does not match the P&L Calendar is that these two entries use different calculation methods: Realized P&L does not deduct fees, while the P&L Calendar does.

Two Entries, Two Calculation Methods

This confusion is very common on Binance. Customer support explanations in user feedback also confirm this: Realized P&L does not include fees, while the P&L Calendar includes trading fees.

You can also see the difference clearly from Binance's official calculation logic. The algorithm behind the Futures PNL Analysis page (which is the data source for the P&L Calendar) is ending wallet balance minus starting wallet balance, then minus net inflows. Changes in wallet balance already include deductions for trading fees and funding fees. In other words, the P&L Calendar tracks how much money actually increased or decreased in your futures wallet, and fees are already included in that number.

In contrast, the "Realized P&L" field on the futures trading interface reflects only the price difference result at the time of closing a position. Trading fees and funding fees are deducted separately from the account balance and are not merged into that number. Discussions in the Binance developer community about API return values also confirm this: REALIZED_PNL does not include fees and must be deducted separately.

An Example to See the Difference

Suppose (for example) you open a BTC/USDT perpetual contract position with 1,000 USDT. During the holding period you pay 20 USDT in funding fees, pay 10 USDT in fees each for opening and closing, and make a price difference profit of 100 USDT when closing.

Realized P&L will show +100 USDT, reflecting only the price difference.

P&L Calendar will show +60 USDT, because the actual wallet change is: profit of 100, minus 20 in total fees for opening and closing, minus 20 in funding fees.

If you open the P&L Calendar and feel like "why is it so much lower", the difference usually comes from trading fees and funding fees. If you trade frequently or hold positions for a long time, this difference will be very noticeable. Screenshots shared by users in the community show that total trading fees can far exceed the absolute value of net P&L.

What the P&L Calendar Includes and Does Not Include

Includes: price difference P&L from closed trades, trading fees, and funding fees. It is calculated based on wallet balance changes, so funds you transfer into the futures wallet are also excluded from P&L (net inflows are subtracted).

Does not include: unrealized P&L from currently open positions. Wallet balance does not include unrealized P&L; it only shows up in the balance after a position is closed. So if you still have open positions, the P&L Calendar does not reflect the paper gains or losses of those positions.

Also, the P&L Calendar in Binance Wallet (Web3 Wallet) is a different product. Its "fees deducted" refers to on-chain network fees (gas fees), not trading platform fees. If you are looking at the Web3 Wallet page, that calculation method is not the same as the Futures P&L Calendar.

Which Number Should You Look At

If you want to know how much money you actually made or lost, look at the P&L Calendar. It corresponds to the real change in your futures wallet balance and is a more reliable measure for fund planning and performance review.

If you want to know how well your trading strategy captures price differences, look at Realized P&L. It removes the interference of fees and reflects only the result of the price difference between opening and closing. But this number cannot be directly treated as how much money was added to your account.

Compare the two numbers side by side, and the difference is the trading cost you paid during that period. If the difference is large, it means fees or funding fees are eating into your profits, and you should check your fee tier, order habits, or whether you are holding positions for too long.
