How to operate
The rules are different depending on whether you are a normal copy trader or a lead trader. See the scenarios below.
If you are a copy trader changing copy settings
Effective rule: Changes take effect immediately. They only apply to new copy positions opened later. Existing copy positions are not affected.
Path: Open the OKX App → Trading → Trading Square → Copy Trading → find the trader you follow → My Copy Trading → Copy Trading Management → enter the settings page and make changes.
Done when: After the change, the next time your trader opens a position, your copy trade uses the new parameters.
Risk warning: After you stop copy trading, existing positions are not closed automatically. You need to go to My Copy Trading → Current Copy Trading to handle them manually. Do not assume canceling the copy relationship is enough.
Rules for changing ratio copy multiplier
If you use ratio copy mode, you can change the per-order copy multiplier directly on the copy settings page. The multiplier range is 0.01x to 10x. Check the trader's smart recommended multiplier and do not exceed the limit to avoid excessive leverage on positions.
Rules for changing copy leverage multiplier
You cannot change the leverage multiplier directly in copy settings. You need to go to the futures trading page to change it there. After that, the copy trading leverage multiplier will sync automatically.
Rules for lead traders changing lead trading parameters
For spot lead trading, you can change the lead coins at any time in My Lead Trading → Lead Trading Settings.
After you submit changes to your lead trader profile, review takes about 3 days. Once approved, you will be notified by email and in-app message.

How to verify changes took effect
After modifying copy trading parameters, check the My Copy Trading page to confirm the settings are updated to the new values. The next time your trader opens a position, your copy amount, multiplier, or stop-loss trigger will follow the new parameters. If a change did not take effect, check whether you changed it in the correct entry, especially the leverage multiplier. Also check whether the change was made after the trader opened a position. New parameters only affect future orders.
