How to Change Your Phone Number on OKX
There are two scenarios for changing your OKX phone number:the old number can receive verification codes(standard swap process) orthe old number cannot receive verification codes(requires facial recognition to reset security items). After modification or reset,withdrawals and C2C selling are disabled for 24 hours.

Steps
The following operationsare currently only supported on the OKX App; the web version cannot complete phone number changes or resets.
Scenario 1: Old phone number is still usable
If you can log in and the old number can receive SMS codes, follow these steps:
Open the OKX App, tap the [Profile] icon in the top-left corner → [Security Settings] → [Phone Verification].
Tap [Change Phone Number] → [Verify My Identity] and complete the facial recognition as prompted.
Enter thenew phone number. The system will send a 6-digit code to both the old and new numbers. Enter each code in the corresponding fields.
Enter the Google Authenticator (2FA) dynamic code and tap [Confirm] to finish.
Scenario 2: Old phone number is deactivated or cannot receive codes
If the old number is unusable, there are two paths:
Logged in: In the App, tap [All Features] in the top-left corner → [Profile & Settings] → [Security Settings] → [Phone Number] → [Change Phone Number] → complete facial recognition → tap [Verification method unavailable] and follow the on-screen instructions to reset.
Not logged in: On the login page, enter your account and password, then on the two-factor verification page, tap [I Need Help] → [Security verification item unavailable] → tap [Reset Phone] and follow the prompts.
Key Restrictions After Changing
Whether you change or reset your phone number,withdrawals and C2C selling are disabled for 24 hours. This is a cooldown period for account security, which lifts automatically with no additional action needed.
Common Failure Reasons
Facial recognition fails: Ensure the App is updated to the latest version, lighting is sufficient, your face is unobstructed, and the person performing the operation is the account's verified identity holder.
Cannot receive verification codes: Check your phone signal and SMS blocking settings, or select "Didn't receive the code?" on the verification page to try voice verification.
Google Authenticator code mismatch: Your phone's time must be set to "Automatic sync," otherwise the dynamic code may be invalid due to time drift.

Checklist
After completing the change, confirm the following:
In [Security Center], verify that the [Phone Number] field shows the new number.
The new phone number has received a confirmation SMS or email.
If the old number is no longer in use, remove it from other related verification channels.
Note: You can change or reset your phone number, butit cannot be completely unbound or removed—your account must always have a valid phone number linked.
