How to Bind an Email to Your OKX Account?
OKXcurrentlydoes not support binding only an email— during registration, the platform requiresboth a phone number and an emailto be linked. There is no option to bind only an email without a phone number. The real question is actually "how to change the already bound email" rather than "how to bind an email."

During Registration: Email and Phone Number Are Both Required
When registering on the app or website, the system requires you to enter both an email and a phone number, and verify each with a code before completing registration. If you don't have an OKX account yet, simply fill in your email during registration to bind it — no additional "bind email" step is needed.
If Your Account Already Has an Email and You Want to Change It
This is the most common scenario for "binding email." Here's how to do it:
On the App
Tap the profile icon in the top-left corner to go to [Personal Center] → [Security Settings] → [Security Center].
Tap [Email] → [Change Email Address].
Enter thenew email address, then tap to send the verification code — the system will send a 6-digit code to both thenew emailand theoriginal email. Enter each code in the corresponding fields.
Enter your Google Authenticator (2FA) dynamic code, then tap confirm to complete the change.
On the Web
Click the profile icon in the top-right corner to go to [Personal Center] → [Security Center].
Under [Email Verification], click [Change Email].
You will also need to verify the new email, original email, and Google Authenticator code.
What If You Can't Receive the Verification Code for the Old Email?
If the original email is inaccessible (e.g., forgotten password, email account suspended), click [Unable to Verify] or [Reset Security Verification Method] on the change email page. Select "Reset Email" and follow the system prompts to completefacial recognitionidentity verification, then directly bind the new email.
Key Restriction After Changing Email
After changing your email, withdrawals and C2C selling are restricted for 24 hours. This is a security protection mechanism, not an account issue. The restriction will be automatically lifted after 24 hours.
Common Failure Reasons
Not receiving the verification code: Check your spam folder and add domains like
This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to your whitelist before retrying. If the page shows "Send failed," wait 1 hour before trying again.Google Authenticator code mismatch: Ensure your phone's system time is set to "auto-sync," otherwise dynamic codes may be invalid.
New email already in use: Each email can only be bound to one OKX account. Before changing, confirm the new email hasn't been used by another account.
Checklist
After changing your email, confirm the following:
In [Security Center], check that the "Email" section shows the new email address.
Check if the new email has received a confirmation email from OKX.
If you no longer need the old email, you can delete the binding record (but the platform does not support complete unbinding — only changing is possible).
