For common Binance activities such as "holding rewards" or "Launchpool", the system usually calculates rewards based on your holdings at a fixed point in time, known as the snapshot moment. If your holding amount does not match, it is usually not a system error, but rather that the location of your holdings was not included in the calculation.

This content is mainly based on an understanding of Binance's general rules. For each specific activity, it is still recommended to refer to the official announcement.
Key Distinction of Where Holdings Are Counted
BNB holding snapshots generally follow the principle of "same point in time, under the same account name," but the rules can differ significantly depending on the sub-account:
Case A: Funding Account and Spot Account (Usually Combined)
In the vast majority of activities, as long as BNB is stored in the Spot Wallet or the Funding Wallet, the system will usually combine and count them during the snapshot.
Important to note: BNB placed in Auto-Invest or Earn products depends on the specific activity rules. Some activities may treat these as "locked" and therefore not countable. It is recommended to confirm this clearly in the activity details.
Case B: Futures Account and Sub-Accounts (Usually Not Counted in Main Account)
The BNB balance in a Futures Account (UM or CM wallet) is usually not included in the snapshot. This is to distinguish between "trading margin" and "held assets."
The same applies to sub-accounts. Unless the activity rules specifically state otherwise, holdings in sub-accounts are usually calculated independently and will not be merged into the main account's total holdings for the calculation.
Common Misunderstandings About Snapshot Rules
Even if you find the right wallet, you might still encounter timing issues. Two details are often overlooked:
Snapshot time is based on "block height": This is the most common misunderstanding. The platform's stated time, such as "08:00 on a certain day," does not refer to your phone's clock, but rather to the block height corresponding to that point in time. If you transfer BNB in at 08:00:01, the display might show a holding of 0.1, but the system may have already taken the snapshot, and this transaction would be too late to be included.
Open orders are not counted as holdings: USDT sitting in a buy order waiting to be filled, or a limit order that is in the process of buying BNB, is not usually counted. Only the balance that has "arrived" at that exact moment is considered.

What to Do If the Amount Does Not Match?
If you confirmed that you had BNB in your account at the time of the snapshot, but did not receive the reward, you can check the following steps:
Verify the time and block: First, go to the activity page to confirm the exact snapshot time. Then, work backwards from the snapshot time to find the corresponding block height and confirm that your assets had indeed arrived at that moment.
Check the "small assets" label: If your BNB holdings are relatively small, some activities may have a "minimum holding requirement" (such as 0.01 BNB). Amounts below the threshold may not generate rewards.
Check the distribution status: Rewards for some activities are not distributed in real time and may require a processing period of 24-72 hours. You can check the final status in the "Distribution History" or "Reward History" section.
Risk Reminder: Try to avoid making transfers or moving funds a few minutes before and after the snapshot. Network congestion could delay transaction confirmation, leading to a situation where "the money has not arrived, but the snapshot has already been taken," causing the reward for that period to be zero with no way to recover it.
