Can BNB Locked in Launchpool Still Get HODLer Airdrops?
If your BNB is locked in Launchpool, you can absolutely still participate in HODLer airdrops—the key is exactly where your BNB is held when the snapshot is taken.

As long as you are auto-participating in Launchpool by "subscribing to BNB Simple Earn products," the system snapshot will capture your balance, and you'll receive HODLer airdrops at the same time. But if you manually transfer BNB from your spot wallet into a standalone Launchpool pool, whether that portion counts toward the HODLer snapshot depends on Binance's specific rules.
Prerequisite: Understanding the Two Ways to Join Launchpool
Binance users can participate in Launchpool in two ways, and the snapshot rules are completely different:
Method A: Auto-participate via Simple Earn Products You subscribe your BNB to a "Simple Earn" flexible or locked product. As long as you hold BNB in Simple Earn, you automatically qualify for Launchpool—no need to manually transfer BNB into the Launchpool page.
Method B: Manually Transfer from Spot Wallet into a Launchpool Pool You go to the Launchpool page, click "Stake," and transfer BNB from your spot wallet into that project's pool. In this case, BNB leaves the spot wallet and enters a standalone staking position within Launchpool.
HODLer airdrop snapshots capture the BNB balance held in Simple Earn products, not the balance staked in Launchpool pools. So whether Method B holdings count depends on whether Binance includes Launchpool balances in the HODLer snapshot scope.
Step 1: Check Where Your BNB Is Held
What to do: Verify the current location of your BNB.
How to do it:
Open Binance App → [Wallet] → [Earn] → check your "Simple Earn" holdings
If you see a BNB balance in "Simple Earn" with the status "Holding"—Method A, you're good
If there is no BNB in "Simple Earn" but you've joined Launchpool—Method B, you need to confirm snapshot rules
What counts as done: Knowing exactly which account/product your BNB is in right now.
Step 2: Understand the HODLer Airdrop Snapshot Scope
What to do: Know the eligibility requirements for HODLer airdrops.
Rules (from Binance official sources):
HODLer airdrops are distributed solely based on historical snapshots of your BNB balance held in Simple Earn products.
You must subscribe your BNB to flexible or locked Simple Earn products to qualify.
Snapshots are taken at random times within each hour, calculating your average hourly BNB balance.
Eligible users will receive the airdrop rewards in their spot wallets within 24 hours after the announcement.
There is currently no official statement from Binance that explicitly includes "standalone Launchpool staking balances" in the HODLer snapshot scope. Official documentation repeatedly emphasizes that HODLer airdrop eligibility depends on "BNB balance in Simple Earn products."
Step 3 (For Method A Users): Do Nothing
If you already hold BNB in Simple Earn and are auto-participating in Launchpool, your BNB satisfies both conditions:
In Simple Earn → can be captured by HODLer snapshots
Auto-enrollment in Launchpool via Simple Earn → can receive Launchpool rewards
This is the correct "double dip" setup. No extra action is needed.
Step 4 (For Method B Users): Redeem BNB from Launchpool into Simple Earn
If you manually staked BNB into a standalone Launchpool pool and have no BNB in Simple Earn, the HODLer snapshot likely cannot see your BNB.
What to do:
On the Launchpool page, click "Redeem" or "Withdraw" to remove your BNB from the pool.
Wait for the BNB to return to your spot wallet.
Open [Earn] → search for BNB → select a Simple Earn flexible or locked product → subscribe your BNB.
What counts as done: BNB appears in your Simple Earn holdings with the status "Holding." From then on, your BNB will automatically participate in all future Launchpool and HODLer airdrops.
Common Misconceptions
"BNB in Launchpool and BNB in Simple Earn are the same thing"—In Binance's back-end, these are two different accounts. BNB in Simple Earn automatically gets Launchpool eligibility, but BNB inside Launchpool does not count as "being in Simple Earn."
"You need to stake in Launchpool to get HODLer airdrops"—Not true. HODLer airdrops are a passive benefit; you only need to hold BNB in a Simple Earn product, no active staking in Launchpool is required.
"BNB locked in a fixed-term product can't participate in HODLer"—Both flexible and locked products are eligible. Locked products qualify just the same.
Risk Reminders
Locked products cannot be redeemed early during the lock-in period, limiting liquidity. If you need flexibility, choose a flexible product.
HODLer airdrops are based on historical snapshots taken before the announcement, not on post-announcement holdings. Buying or transferring BNB after seeing the announcement is already too late.

How to Confirm Your Setup Is Correct
Open your Binance [Earn] page and make sure you can see BNB holdings in "Simple Earn" with the status "Holding" or "Subscribed."
Then glance at the Launchpool page—if the BNB pool shows an indicator like "Participating via Simple Earn," your setup is correct.
If you haven't received the HODLer airdrop more than 24 hours after the announcement, it's very likely your BNB was not in Simple Earn during the snapshot period. Before the next event, subscribe your BNB to a Simple Earn product in advance to ensure you cover the snapshot window.
