Binance Web3 to Trading Account Not Credited? Transfer Troubleshooting

The chain shows the transaction is confirmed, but your Binance exchange account still does not show the asset. The most likely reasons are: you selected the wrong network, or the gas fee was too low and the transaction is still queued.

Troubleshooting goal

Trace the transfer from start to finish and quickly find which step caused the "confirmed but not credited" problem.

Step 1: First rule out the most direct mistake - wrong network

This is the most common pitfall when transferring from Web3 to an exchange. When you start the transfer in your wallet, the network you choose (such as BSC, ETH, or TRC20) determines where the asset will appear. It will only appear under the Binance deposit address for that specific network.

  • How to check: Open the Binance App or website, go to [Assets] → [Spot] → [Deposit]. Find the coin and confirm the network of the deposit address Binance generated for you.

  • How to verify: Compare the destination address you used with the address shown on the Binance deposit page. They must be exactly the same. If the address is the same but the network is wrong, the asset may be sent to the address controlled by Binance on the wrong network. In most cases it can be handled through a recovery process, but it may take a long time.

Step 2: If the network is correct, check the transaction status on a block explorer

Copy the TxID (transaction hash) of your transfer and look it up on the matching explorer: use Etherscan for ETH, BscScan for BSC, and Tronscan for TRC20.

  • Status is "Success": This means the chain has confirmed it. Then check the number of confirmations. Exchanges require a minimum number of confirmations before a deposit is credited. ETH usually needs more than 12 blocks, and BSC usually needs around 15-30 blocks. If the confirmations have not reached the required number, wait a little longer.

  • Status is "Pending" or not successful for a long time: Most likely the gas fee you set was too low. When the network is congested, low-fee transactions are placed behind others and wait longer to be included. In this case, use the "speed up" feature in your wallet to send a new transaction with a higher gas fee to help it confirm.

Step 3: Check whether your wallet balance display is "inflated"

There is also a rare but possible situation: the available balance shown in your Web3 wallet may include assets that are staked or still pending on-chain confirmation. Those assets cannot be transferred at that moment. You actually transferred only the available balance, so the amount that arrives at the exchange is less than expected.

How to confirm the issue is resolved

  • Direct check: Go to Binance [Assets] → [Spot] → [Transaction History] (Deposit History) and refresh to see whether a new deposit record appears. If there is a record, Binance has received the deposit. It may just not be credited yet. Open the status to see whether it is "Confirming" or "Completed".

  • Full arrival check: In the transaction history, the deposit should show "Completed", and the correct amount should be added to your spot account balance.

High-risk warning

During this entire troubleshooting process, never look for third parties online who claim they can help you "recover" or "speed up" the deposit. All proper actions should be done inside the official Binance App or website. Anyone who asks for your private key, seed phrase, or asks you to pay a "unlock fee" or "speed-up fee" to a private address is a scammer.
