Binance Wallet Has Enough Gas but Transaction Failed? Check Approvals and Network

Many users have enough gas fees, but after clicking confirm, they see a red error and their assets get stuck. Most of these problems are not caused by insufficient balance. They are usually stuck in the approval step or network compatibility.

Step 1: Check if the "Approval" step was completed

You may think you are making a direct transfer, but many on-chain operations are actually two steps: first Approve, then Swap/Transfer.

You only paid gas for the first step. The second step was not confirmed yet, so the transaction stopped.

[What to do]: Check your transaction history and see if there is an "Approve" related record before the error. [How to do it]: Open your wallet's "History" or a block explorer. Check if the last successful transaction says "Approve USDT" or "Increase Allowance". If yes, it means you only completed the approval step and did not finish the actual transfer. Go back to the DApp and start the next operation again. [Completion standard]: Confirm whether the approval step was completed before the error appeared.

Step 2: Check if the wallet is stuck on an unsupported network

Binance Web3 Wallet does not support manually adding all custom networks. If your cross-chain assets are on a network it does not support, the assets will be hidden in the interface. You cannot switch to that network, so you cannot operate.

[What to do]: Confirm that the chain you want to use is in the current supported list of Binance Web3 Wallet. [How to do it]:

  • Look in the wallet's "Network" list and see if your selected network name is there.
  • Case A (Supported): Switch to that chain and try again.
  • Case B (Not supported): You cannot switch to that chain in the wallet interface, and you cannot see the assets. The solution is to export the wallet private key and import it into a wallet like MetaMask that supports custom networks.

High-risk reminder: Binance Web3 Wallet is an MPC wallet. It does not have a seed phrase, but it has a private key shard backup mechanism. Before exporting, make sure you have backed up your wallet (cloud backup or QR code) and remember your recovery password clearly. Otherwise, your assets cannot be recovered.

Step 3: Clear cache and restart in order

The most common and most easily ignored reason is that your browser or app is stuck. If you have checked the first two steps and the wallet balance and gas both look normal but it is still stuck, do the following steps directly:

  1. Clear cache: In a browser, clear site data. In the Binance app, clear cache in settings.
  2. Close unrelated pages: Having multiple wallet pages open at the same time consumes connection resources and can cause requests to get stuck.
  3. Turn off accelerators or VPNs: Some proxy tools can interfere with WebSocket real-time communication. Turn them off and try again.

After doing these three steps, reopen the wallet and try the operation again.

FAQ

Q: Why does it still say "Out of Gas" when I have enough BNB? A: Most of your BNB may be in your "Funding account" or "Spot account", not transferred to your "Web3 Wallet". Gas fees are deducted directly from the on-chain balance in your Web3 Wallet. Go to the Binance app and transfer BNB over.

Q: My wallet cannot create a new address. Can I only use one? A: Binance Web3 Wallet is based on MPC technology and is bound 1-to-1 with your Binance account. It cannot create multiple new addresses freely like a hot wallet. If you want to use multiple addresses, it is recommended to import the private key or seed phrase into another wallet that supports multiple addresses.

Next steps

Do not rush to click retry. Copy the error code from the error message if there is one. Then follow the three steps above: check approval status, confirm network support, and clear cache and restart in order. If you still do not understand what the error means, contact online customer service in the Binance app. Explain the situation and ask them to check the backend data to find the specific cause.
