Can You Earn Money by Posting on Binance Square? Eligibility and Earnings Check

Yes, you can earn money by posting on Binance Square, but the way it works is completely different from "getting paid for writing articles." You earn a share of the trading fees paid by readers, not a fixed payment based on word count or views. A reader needs to read your post, click a coin tag in your post, and then trade. Only then do you earn a cut of that trading fee. No matter how good your post is, if nobody clicks a tag and trades, your earnings are zero.

Eligibility: Automatic After KYC, No Sign-Up Step

Starting from February 9, 2026, this program is open to all KYC-verified users in eligible regions. There is no separate registration or application form. Once you complete identity verification and publish your first qualifying post on Square, you are automatically enrolled.

There is a common misunderstanding here: many people think "earning by posting" means you get paid just for publishing. The actual rule is that content itself does not generate earnings. Earnings are only generated when your content leads readers to make qualifying trades. Your post is an "entry point," not a "finished work."

How Earnings Are Calculated: Base 20%, Bonus for Top 100

The base commission is 20% of the trading fee from each qualifying trade. If a reader completes a trade through a coin tag in your post and that trade generates a $1 fee, you earn $0.20.

At the end of each week, Binance ranks all creators based on their base commission. The top 100 creators can receive a bonus commission:

RankBase CommissionBonus CommissionTotal Commission
Top 1–3020%30%50%
Top 31–10020%10%30%
Other eligible creators20%None20%

The bonus commission is calculated independently each week. If you make the top 100 one week, you get the bonus. If you drop out of the ranking the next week, you go back to 20%.

What Counts as a "Qualifying Trade"

Not every trade made by a reader counts. The rules are very specific:

  • The reader must click a coin tag (like $BTC) or a trading widget in your post and then place an order directly. If they place the order more than 1 minute after clicking, it does not count.
  • It only applies to spot, margin, futures (excluding copy trading), and instant swap (only instant swap) trades made by regular users and VIP 1-2 users.
  • Trades made by users who registered through your referral link do not give you content mining commission. You receive standard referral rewards instead. These are two separate systems.

One detail worth noting: instant swap itself has zero fees. To calculate commission, Binance uses 0.1% of the trade volume as an estimated fee rate. This is different from other trades, which are calculated based on actual net fees.

Earnings Have a 7-Day Validity Period

Your content can only generate commission within 7 days of being published. After 7 days, even if someone clicks through from your old post and trades, you no longer earn anything.

This means the "earning window" for content is very short. An analysis article about a hot coin may bring in more trades on the day it is published and the next day, then quickly fade. If you want to earn continuously from content mining, you need to keep publishing rather than expecting one "viral" post to generate long-term income.

Settlement and Payment: Before Thursday, Paid in USDC

Rewards are calculated weekly. The cycle runs from Monday 00:00 UTC to Sunday 23:59 UTC. After settlement, rewards are paid out in USDC to your Binance funding account before Thursday 23:59 UTC of the following week.

There is a threshold: your weekly earnings must reach 0.1 USDC to be paid out. If the amount is lower, the balance resets to zero the following week and does not accumulate. 0.1 USDC is roughly equal to 0.1 USD, so the threshold is very low. But if your content barely brings in any trades, having zero earnings is normal.

What Kind of Content Actually Brings Earnings

Based on the rules, content that can earn money needs to meet two conditions: people see it, and after seeing it, they are willing to click a tag and trade.

The suggestions in Binance's official FAQ point in a clear direction: discuss or analyze popular tokens, add K-line chart widgets, and use real trade-sharing cards. The CreatorPad scoring mechanism confirms the same direction: original analysis, data-backed content, and closely following hot topics are more likely to get high rankings than generic or AI-generated content.

Combined with the 7-day validity period, time-sensitive content that follows hot topics has an advantage over long-term tutorials. An analysis of a currently trending coin may bring concentrated trading within 24-48 hours of being published. A systematic article on basic knowledge may not lead readers to place an order right away.

A Related Activity Worth Noting

Binance Square also has a CreatorPad platform, which is a separate creator incentive system. The official terms state that for content participating in CreatorPad activities, rewards are paid first from the CreatorPad pool and are not counted again in content mining. If you are also participating in a CreatorPad project activity, the trades generated by that content may not go through the content mining commission calculation.

For creators whose main goal is content mining, you need to pay attention to whether your published content falls under the scope of a CreatorPad activity.

Deciding If It Is Right for You

If you already have a habit of posting on Square and your content focuses on market analysis or token discussion, joining content mining costs you nothing. You do not need to change how you publish. You just need to add the correct tag when mentioning a specific coin.

If you expect to earn stable income from this, you need to understand the earnings structure first: the base commission of 20% depends on the reader's trading fee, and the trading fee for a regular user's spot trade is not high to begin with. For a $1,000 trade, the fee at 0.1% is $1, and you earn $0.20. To earn a meaningful amount, you need a considerable number of readers to actually click and trade. This is not a "post and get paid" model. It is a model where "content drives trading, and trading generates a share."
