Can You Transfer Money from Binance to PayPal? First Understand Cash vs Crypto

Money in your Binance account cannot be transferred directly to PayPal. Whether you hold cash (fiat) or crypto assets, Binance does not offer a "withdraw to PayPal" option. Cash can only be withdrawn to a bank account under your own name. Crypto can only be sent to an on-chain address or to PayPal's US crypto wallet (with regional restrictions). Neither path leads to "extra US dollars appearing in your PayPal balance."

Cash (Fiat) Withdrawal: Only to a Bank Card, Not to PayPal

If you hold fiat balances on Binance (such as USD or EUR), the withdrawal path is fiat withdrawal. Methods include bank transfer (SWIFT) and others, depending on your region and account verification status. Binance's official guidance is clear: withdrawals only support bank accounts where the recipient name matches the Binance account name. Withdrawals to third-party accounts are not supported. A PayPal account is not a bank account, and it is not listed in Binance's fiat withdrawal channels.

If you want to move fiat to PayPal, the only practical path is: first withdraw from Binance to your own bank account, and then add funds or transfer from that bank account into PayPal. This involves Binance's fiat withdrawal fee, possible intermediary bank fees, and whether PayPal charges for receiving a bank transfer (depending on your PayPal account type and region). The extra cost and waiting time are the price of having no direct Binance-to-PayPal connection.

Crypto Withdrawal: To PayPal's US Custodial Wallet, Not to Your Balance

PayPal does support cryptocurrency, but with limits. In the United States, PayPal's crypto wallet supports receiving and holding BTC, ETH, LTC, and BCH. If you send these assets from Binance over the corresponding network to a crypto address provided by PayPal, the assets enter PayPal's custodial crypto wallet. They do not become withdrawable US dollar balances. You would still need to sell the crypto inside PayPal to get fiat balance, and that selling feature is also subject to regional restrictions.

More importantly, PayPal's crypto service is not available globally. Chinese readers are located in different countries and regions. Whether PayPal's crypto features are open to you depends on the country or region you used when registering PayPal and the regulatory status there. On the Binance side, all you can do is send coins to an external address. Whether the PayPal account behind that address can receive them, and whether you can sell them after receiving, is governed by PayPal's own rules.

What Is Wrong with Tutorials That Say "Yes"

Searching "Binance PayPal" will bring up some Q&A posts or tutorials claiming you can withdraw directly to PayPal, sometimes even describing "select PayPal as a method on the withdrawal page." Such claims do not match Binance's official documentation or verifiable platform rules. A Q&A post on BYDFi directly points out that Binance has no native feature allowing fiat to be transferred directly to a PayPal account. You need to sell coins first, withdraw to a bank, and then move funds from the bank into PayPal. Another Paybis article also states that Binance does not support PayPal for direct crypto purchases in most regions. Descriptions of "select PayPal for withdrawal" are either outdated information or confuse P2P trading where a seller accepts PayPal payment (which is a different matter involving trading with a counterparty, not a platform withdrawal) with a platform feature.

Which Path Should You Take

If you want cash in your PayPal balance: First withdraw fiat from Binance to a bank account under your own name, then transfer from the bank into PayPal. Accept the two-step process and potential multiple fees. If your bank does not support adding funds to PayPal, this path will not work and you will need a different receiving method.

If you just want to move crypto to a place you control: Sending to a self-custody wallet (hardware wallet or on-chain wallet) is more direct than sending to PayPal and does not have PayPal's regional eligibility restrictions. But you must safeguard your private keys yourself and take responsibility for on-chain transfer fees and address verification.

If you are in the US and PayPal crypto features are available to you: You can send BTC/ETH/LTC/BCH from Binance to a PayPal crypto address and sell them inside PayPal for US dollars. Note that Binance withdrawals have minimum amounts and network fees, so a small test before any formal operation is necessary.
