To add fiat payment methods on Binance, the entry is not under "Deposit" or the "Assets" page, but in your P2P trading profile. You need to go to the P2P section, find "Profile," then choose "Payment Methods" to add and manage your payment and receiving channels. Note that the payment method used for buying crypto and the receiving method for selling crypto are essentially the same adding entry; the difference is that during actual use, the system or merchant will specify which one to use.
Step 1: Go to the P2P Trading Page
First, open the Binance App on your phone and log in. Tap "Trade" in the bottom navigation bar, then select the "P2P" tab at the top. Alternatively, you can tap the "..." icon in the top right corner of the app home screen and choose "P2P Trading." After entering the P2P home page, tap the "Profile" icon in the bottom right corner.
Step 2: Find and Enter Payment Method Management
On the Profile page, you will see the "Payment Methods" option. Tap it to enter. This will list all your currently linked payment methods.
Step 3: Add a New Payment Method
Where to start: Tap "Add a new payment method" to create a new receiving or payment channel.
How to fill out:
Choose a type: From the pop-up list, select the payment method you need. Binance supports over 1000 payment methods, including bank transfer, Alipay, WeChat Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc. The exact list depends on your verified region.
Fill in details: Based on the selected payment method, fill in the corresponding account information. For example, for bank transfer, enter the account holder's name (must match your Binance KYC name), account number, bank name, and branch. For Alipay or WeChat, provide the corresponding account or linked phone number.
Completion criteria: After filling in the information, tap "Confirm." The system will ask you to enter your 2FA verification code (SMS or Google Authenticator) to complete verification. Once verified, the new payment method takes effect immediately and appears in your list.
Common reasons for failure: The most common reason for adding failure is that your Binance account has not completed identity verification (KYC). Another frequent problem is that the bank account name filled in does not match the verified name on your Binance account, causing mismatch errors during transaction information checks.
Risk Reminders
Added payment methods are your funding channels for P2P trading. If used to receive money, make sure the account is in good standing. If used to make payments, never use someone else's account to transfer funds. Using a payment method not under your name may lead to order cancellation, easily trigger risk control, and in serious cases, your account could be frozen. Also, after adding and linking, it's recommended to regularly check your list and delete any old or unused payment methods to avoid mistakes.
How to Verify the Operation
After adding, you can directly see the new entry in the "Payment Methods" list. If the list shows the bank account or Alipay info you just created, it means the addition was successful.
Next Steps
Successfully adding a payment method does not mean you can use it to "deposit." It is only a payment/receiving channel for P2P trading. If you want to buy crypto, go back to the P2P trading page, select "Buy," and place an order. When placing the order, you will be asked to choose which linked payment method to use for payment. If you want to sell crypto, you need to first transfer the digital currency from your "Spot Account" to your "Funding Account." Then, when you publish a sell ad, select the payment method you want the buyer to send payment to.
