Step 1: Determine which stage your old address is in
According to Binance's official rules, the old address goes through three stages:
Stage A: After receiving the notification but before obtaining the new address
The old address is still valid, and funds will be credited automatically.
You don't need to do anything.
Stage B: After obtaining the new address but before making a deposit to it
The old address remains valid, and deposits are credited automatically.
However, this state lasts a maximum of 30 days from when you received the notification.
Stage C: After obtaining the new address and completing the first deposit to it
The old address is immediately invalidated. Any deposits sent to the old address after this will not be credited automatically.
Completion criteria: Determine whether your old address is in Stage A, B, or C.
Step 2: If the old address is invalid, use the "One-Click Credit" feature
If you confirm the old address is invalid, your funds are not lost, but you need to process them manually.
Log in to the Binance app or website, and go to [Assets] → [Deposit History] (or [Transaction History]).
Find the record for the deposit to the old address (usually showing a status like "Uncredited" or "Pending").
Click the [One-Click Credit] or [Manual Credit] button next to that record.
The system will automatically transfer the funds to your spot wallet.
Completion criteria: The page shows "Credit succeeded" and your balance is updated.
If you cannot find the "One-Click Credit" option, you need to submit a request via the [Deposit Not Credited] inquiry page, providing the TxID and coin details.
Step 3: If the old address is invalid and there is no "One-Click Credit" option
Go to the Binance Help Center, search for "deposit not credited", and find the deposit status inquiry page.
Paste the TxID and fill in the currency, network, and deposit amount as prompted.
Submit and wait for review, which usually takes several business days.
Completion criteria: Successfully submitted and received a case reference number.
Common Reasons for Failure
Mistakenly thinking that the notification means the old address is immediately invalid
Many users think the old address stops working as soon as they receive the address change email. In reality, the old address remains valid until you obtain the new address and make the first deposit to it. However, 30 days after the notification, the old address will be closed regardless of whether you've obtained the new address.
Risk Warning
High risk of saving old deposit addresses in third-party wallets: If you have saved your Binance deposit address as a withdrawal destination on an external platform (such as a mining pool or another exchange), make sure to update it after the address change. Otherwise, future deposits may fail or require manual processing.
Certain network upgrades may render old addresses completely unusable: For example, after an XMR (Monero) upgrade, the old address format may become invalid, and deposits to it cannot be credited.
Binance.US has stricter rules: For some networks, depositing to an old address could result in permanent and irreversible loss of funds.
