Where Are Binance and OKX Customer Service Entrances? A Comparison of Appeal Paths

The main customer service entrances on both platforms are inside the help center on the app or website, but the paths and priorities are completely different. Binance focuses more on a "self-service + ticket" system, which is clear but the entry is deeper. OKX places live chat more upfront, responds faster, and supports tickets and email in parallel.

Finding Binance's Support Entrance

Binance does not have a direct "phone support" or a prominent "live chat" button. Instead, it provides a ticket-based system through its Help Center.

  • What to do: Log in to your Binance account. On the app, tap the "Account" icon in the bottom right; on the website, click the help center icon in the top right.

  • How to do it:

    • Human agent / live chat: After entering the Help Center, an AI chatbot usually pops up in the bottom right corner. Type "human support" or describe your issue. The bot will try to match answers; if it can't resolve the problem, it will guide you to a human agent. In tests, the average response time was about 2 minutes and 17 seconds (Chinese voice support included).

    • Submit a ticket / appeal: For specific issues like a deposit or withdrawal not arriving, you can start an appeal directly from your order history. Path: [Orders] → [Fiat Orders] → find the order and tap [Appeal]. After submitting, you will receive a SMS or email with the result.

    • Email / formal complaint: If regular channels don't work, you can submit a formal complaint through the Help Center. You'll get a written confirmation (with a reference number) within 2 business days. Binance aims to provide a final reply within 30 business days, and no longer than 60 business days for complex cases.

  • Completion standard: You have entered the Help Center and decided whether to use "live chat" or "submit a ticket".

Finding OKX's Support Entrance

OKX's support entrance is more upfront in most scenarios, with clearer ticket and email channels.

  • What to do: Log in to the OKX app or website. On the home page bottom or under the "Assets" tab, look for the "Help Center".

  • How to do it:

    • Live chat: In the Help Center page, tap the chat icon in the bottom right. Enter your email or account ID and describe the problem. This is the fastest way, usually connecting to a human agent within 2–5 minutes.

    • Submit a ticket: In the Help Center, click "Submit a Request". Choose the issue type (e.g., deposit/withdrawal), fill in the details and attach screenshots. You'll receive a confirmation number to track progress.

    • Email support: Send your issue or complaint to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. You can usually expect a reply within 1 business day.

  • Completion standard: You have entered the OKX Help Center and decided whether to use live chat, a support ticket, or email.

Matching the Channel to Your Issue

Different problems are handled fastest through different channels. For emergencies (e.g., account stolen), always go to live chat first and request a risk freeze.

  • Case A: Deposit / withdrawal not credited — Both platforms allow you to start an appeal directly from the order page. Binance has dedicated entries for "fiat deposit not credited" and "withdrawal not credited" appeals. OKX suggests first providing the order ID, amount, and address via live chat. If unresolved, it will be escalated to a ticket and handled by a specialist team (typically 1–3 business days).

  • Case B: Account hacked or abnormal asset movement — Immediately use the live chat channel. Both Binance and OKX support finding a human agent in the app. Once you provide complete proof, you can request the other party's account to be frozen for risk control. Third-party services like SlowMist can also work as external recovery channels.

  • Case C: Forgot to fill in Tag / MEMO — This cannot be solved through self-service; you must contact support. Both platforms allow you to submit a recovery request through the ticket system, providing the transaction hash, sending address, amount, and other information. Processing usually takes 3–7 business days (Binance) or 3–10 business days (OKX).

Common Reasons for Appeal Failures

Looking for help outside official channels. Never trust "support" on unofficial channels like Telegram or WeChat groups. Real customer service will never ask for your password or 2FA code. Another common problem: many people only send messages in the app but never escalate the issue to a "ticket" or "appeal". Without a case number, a ticket may never be officially created.

If you are still not satisfied after going through official channels, both platforms have formal complaint escalation paths. Binance is regulated in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). After exhausting internal complaint procedures, you can complain to the FSRA (but only for events that occurred after January 5, 2026). OKX also has a compliance team that handles complaint escalations.

How to Confirm Your Action Is Complete

After submitting a ticket, you will receive a confirmation email with a reference number, or you can see the processing status under "My Tickets". If you used live chat, make sure the agent has created a case number (Ticket ID) for you, not just ended the conversation.

Follow-up Notes

After submitting a ticket, send a follow-up reply at least once every 24 hours to maintain your spot in the queue. Keep screenshots of all communications and your case numbers. If your issue involves recovering funds, you will usually need to provide: transaction hash, sending address, receiving address, transfer amount, and identity verification information. The more materials you have ready, the faster the processing.
