If you finished a trade and didn't see any deduction from your cashback voucher, it is usually not about "activation". It's because the voucher itself works in a way you may not have understood yet. In most cases, you received a "trading fee rebate voucher" – not a "direct discount voucher". You pay the trading fee first. Then Binance sends the rebate amount to your spot wallet the next day.

Check the voucher type – "rebate voucher" or "discount voucher"?
This is where most people get confused. The two types look similar, but the money reaches your account quite differently.
Case A: Trading fee rebate voucher – This does not reduce the fee instantly. After you activate it, you still pay the full fee when you trade. Then before 23:59:59 (UTC) the next day, Binance sends back the percentage you are owed. The rebate arrives as USDT, USDC or BNB directly into your spot wallet. It is a "pay first, get money back later" model.
Case B: Buy Crypto fee discount voucher – This voucher cuts the fee right away when you buy crypto through the "Buy Crypto" page. But it only works for certain channels on that page (P2P and third-party payment methods are not included). It does not work for spot trading.
How to check: Open the voucher in the Reward Center. Read carefully whether it says "trading fee rebate" or "buy crypto fee discount".
Check if you meet the voucher's conditions
Even if the type is correct, the rebate won't trigger unless you satisfy the rules.
What to do: Before using the voucher, tap the
[i]button on its details page. Read the terms and conditions.Things to check:
Eligible products: Is this voucher for spot, margin, or futures? If you trade futures but the voucher is only for spot, you won't get any rebate.
Minimum trade amount: The voucher may require a single order above a certain value (e.g., 50 USDT) to work.
Validity period: You must activate the voucher within the exchange period (usually by clicking "Use" or "Redeem" in the Reward Center). After activation, it also has its own expiration window. If you don't redeem it in time, the voucher disappears and cannot be recovered.
How to know it's right: You have confirmed the voucher applies to the product you traded, meets the minimum amount, is still within the activation period, and you have already clicked to redeem it.

Redeem (activate) properly and wait for the rebate
If the type and conditions look fine but you still saw no deduction after trading, you probably missed the redemption step.
What to do: Go to [Reward Center] → [My Vouchers]. Find the voucher and click [Use] to redeem it.
How it works: Only after you redeem it does the voucher become "active". Once active, it starts tracking your trades from that moment. The first rebate calculation only covers trading fees from after activation until 23:59:59 (UTC) that day. The rebate amount is calculated on the "net fee" (after VIP and BNB discounts). The rebate itself arrives as USDT or another asset and appears in your spot wallet's Distribution history – it does not reduce the original trade fee directly.
How to know it worked: On the day after your trade, go to [Wallet] → [Transaction History] → [Distribution]. You should see a record for "trading fee rebate".
A common mistake: thinking the voucher works automatically. It doesn't. A voucher only starts working after you click "Use" to activate it in the Reward Center. Sitting in your voucher list unused does nothing.
Another type you might see is a token voucher (for example, a 5 USDT voucher). When you redeem it, the 5 USDT goes straight into your spot wallet and you can trade or withdraw it. A trading fee rebate voucher, on the other hand, never shows up as a wallet balance. It is only used to offset future fees – you cannot withdraw it as cash. If you don't see a rebate after trading, check if you are mixing up these two kinds of vouchers.
How to verify everything works: After activating the voucher, make a trade that meets the conditions. The next day, log in to Binance, go to [Wallet] → [Spot Account] → [Transaction History], filter by type [Distribution], and look for a trading fee rebate entry. If it's there, your voucher is working normally.
Next step if nothing appears: If the voucher is active, you completed a qualifying trade more than 48 hours ago, and all conditions are met but there is still no rebate, contact Binance support (in the app: [Help & Support] → [Live Chat]). Provide a screenshot of the voucher and your trade order ID. Also keep in mind that an activated voucher may only be valid for 14 days – any unused rebate balance after that expires.
