How to Use OKX Rebate Card & Why You Didn’t Receive Rebate After Trading

OKX's rebate card and the OKX Card cashback are two different things. The most common reason you don't see a rebate after a trade is that you haven't figured out whether your card is for "trading fee rebate" or "spending cashback." The first refunds part of the trading fees you paid, while the second gives you a percentage back when you spend with the card. Their locations and rules are completely different.

Step 1: Identify what kind of card you have

If you don't know the type and look in the wrong place, you'll never find your rebate.

  • Situation A: Trading Fee Rebate Card — This card refunds the fees you paid when trading (spot, futures, etc.). It works as "charge first, refund later," not an instant discount. The card takes effect immediately after issuance. Your trading fees from the day are converted to USDT and paid into your funding account the next day. Eligible products: spot, margin, perpetual swaps, delivery contracts, and options. You can check the card's value and expiry in [Rewards Center] → [My Rewards].

  • Situation B: OKX Card Cashback — This gives you a percentage back when you pay with the card online or in-store. The trading fee rebate card doesn't apply to "spending" scenarios. Only payments made with USDG earn cashback, received as USDG into your OKX Pay account. Regular users get around 2% cashback; higher VIP levels get more (up to 10%), but there is a monthly cashback cap.

Completion check: you have clearly identified whether you hold a Trading Fee Rebate Card or an OKX Card cashback.

Step 2: If you didn't receive a trading fee rebate — check activation and settlement time

After confirming the type, if it's a trading fee rebate card and you still haven't seen the rebate after a trade, the issue is usually the time lag.

  • What to do: The rebate card does not refund instantly after a trade. It settles daily.

  • How it works:

    • The calculation period runs from 00:00 to 23:59 (UTC+8) each day. The rebate amount is paid into your funding account the next day.

    • If you activate the card during the day, the first rebate covers fees from activation time until 23:59, and it also arrives the next day.

    • If multiple cards are active at the same time, the system uses the one with the shortest expiry first. If expiry dates are the same, it uses the one received earliest.

  • Completion check: The full day after your trade has passed, and you've checked your [Asset History] by filtering for "Distribution" to see if the rebate record exists.

Step 3: If you didn't receive OKX Card spending cashback — check if you meet the conditions

When spending cashback doesn't arrive, it's usually because the requirements weren't met.

  • What to do: Check three things — spending asset, merchant category, and whether the monthly limit has been reached.

  • How it works:

    • Asset: Only payments made with USDG earn cashback. Using other stablecoin or fiat does not generate cashback.

    • Merchant category: Some categories are excluded, including gambling, insurance, education, government services, professional services, etc. Even if a purchase looks like an ordinary one, if the acquiring bank classifies the merchant under an excluded MCC code, you won't get cashback.

    • Monthly cap: Cashback is calculated per calendar month and has a limit. Once you reach the monthly cap, no more cashback is paid for the rest of that month.

    • Arrival time: After the payment settles (depending on the merchant), cashback usually arrives within 24–72 hours. If the rebate amount is less than 0.01 USDG, it won't be issued.

  • Completion check: You have confirmed that the purchase is not excluded by any of these three factors, and you've waited more than 24 hours.

If you get a refund for a purchase that earned cashback, the corresponding cashback will be taken back from your Pay account. Also, cashback rewards cannot be combined with promotional cashback — if there's a promotion, the promotional rules apply instead and the basic cashback won't be added on top.

How to verify: For a trading fee rebate card, go to [Wallet] → [Asset History] → [Distribution] and look for the record. For OKX Card cashback, check your OKX Pay account's balance history.

Next steps: For a trading fee rebate card, just trade normally after activation — no extra steps are needed. The system settles automatically the next day. For OKX Card cashback, make sure your card uses USDG before each purchase and avoid excluded merchant categories. If you still haven't received it after 72 hours, contact OKX Support with the merchant name, transaction time, and amount, and ask them to check the MCC code and cashback status for that transaction.
