Binance has two separate systems: self-service and human customer support. Self-service handles standard, step-by-step problems – roughly 85% of common questions. Human agents take care of security incidents, fund disputes, and complex account issues that self-help tools cannot solve. Knowing where the boundary is will save you a lot of waiting time.

Step 1: Decide If Your Problem Is a "Standard Operation" or an "Unusual Event"
Do not rush to contact support. Sorting your problem into the right category will directly affect how fast you get help.
Situation A: Standard operation problems – Resetting 2FA, changing your password, correcting your name or date of birth, updating your residential address or ID information, a deposit that has not arrived, looking up transaction history for a closed account, and similar issues. These problems have clear processing steps. The Binance Help Center has over 2,000 FAQ articles covering daily operations. About 85% of basic problems can be solved with self-service.
Situation B: Account security or unusual events – A hacked account, suspicious login, assets transferred out without your action, rejected identity verification appeal, Web3/Alpha related complaints, non-C2C risk reports (including scams, fraud, and promotion abuse), etc. These problems involve fund safety or system errors and need a human agent to investigate.
Completion check: You have confirmed whether your situation is A or B.
Step 2: For Situation A, Use Self-Service Tools. For Situation B, Go to a Human Agent
The paths are completely different.
Situation A: Self-service tools – Log in to the Binance website or app, tap the [Support Center] or [Live Chat] icon at the bottom right to start the AI chatbot. Type keywords about your problem. The system will automatically match articles from the knowledge base. If the AI's answer helps, follow the instructions. There is no need to transfer to a human. Common self-service tools include resetting 2FA, resetting a password, the data download center, and the deposit not arrived appeal.
Situation B: Human agent or emergency channel – Use the human support path. In the support chat window, type "human agent." The system will start a transfer process. Normally you need to briefly describe your problem type before an agent is assigned. If it is an urgent security incident (like a hacked account or suspicious login), submit it through the Binance App: [Account] → [Help & Support] → [Emergency Assistance]. Select the problem type and upload screenshots as evidence. The system will generate a case ID number and prioritize it. The response time can be reduced to within 5 minutes. For complex appeals involving legal documents or cross-jurisdiction coordination, send an email from your registered email address to

Completion check: You found the correct self-help article and completed the steps, or you submitted a ticket through the human channel and received a case ID number.
Common Reasons for Failure
Asking a human agent for a problem that self-service can solve (like "how to reset 2FA") just wastes your own time in a queue. Binance's process is designed so the AI robot handles the first step. The robot will only transfer you if it cannot solve your problem. If you immediately ask for a human, you may be pushed back to self-service because the issue is a "standard operation." The other extreme is searching the Help Center for answers during an emergency (like a hacked account), which wastes the best moment to freeze the account – for emergencies, use the in-app [Emergency Assistance] channel directly. It is built for exactly this situation.
Human agents also have limits. Even if you successfully reach an agent, if your issue requires legal documents or cross-jurisdiction investigation, the agent may still guide you to the email appeal path instead of solving it directly in the chat window. Additionally, Binance has a formal complaint handling process: after submitting a complaint, you will receive a written confirmation with a reference number within 2 business days. A final response is generally given within 30 business days, or up to 60 business days for complex cases. There have been cases where VIP or KOL users experienced slow responses or unresponsive account managers. Binance has publicly acknowledged problems with VIP service resource allocation and stated they are systematically fixing process gaps, including assigning a dedicated support agent to VIP users within 24 hours and repairing the VIP channel.
How to Verify Your Action Is Complete
After completing a self-service operation, the page will show a success message or give you the next step. After submitting through the human channel, you will receive a confirmation email with a case ID, or you can see the processing status under "My Tickets" in the app. If you used the Emergency Assistance channel, you should get a response within 5 minutes.

Next Steps
Bookmark the Binance Help Center in your browser. When you encounter problems with deposits, withdrawals, or verification codes, search for keywords there first. There is a high chance you will find ready-to-use guides. When you face an emergency, go directly to the "Emergency Assistance" channel in the app instead of waiting in the web chat queue. After submitting a ticket, if you do not get a reply within 24 hours, you can go back to the chat window and follow up proactively. Sending one reply within 24 hours helps keep your position in the queue.
